Looking for specific simulator.

I remember reading an article on I think rock paper shotgun awhile back about an air sim and it seemed kind of interesting, I went to look for it again to figure out what it was but I couldn't find any trace of it.

 

What I'm trying to find again: From what I remember it was an air sim that was in the works that focus on either the hurricane, typhoon or spitfire. It was supposed go very detailed with it and it was planned to let you walk around on base and tweak it or what not, file after action reports and all that jazz.

 

It's a shot in the dark and with how vague my memories of it are, I don't think I'll find it again but I thought I'd post this here to see if anyone knows what I'm talking about.

Thank you for this. It's a shame it's so arcadey. The maintanence aspect paired with a simulator seemed really interesting to me.
