Adjust the game acceleration and profile on the web

Hello, I want to ask about 2 things. One is the acceleration in the game is max 8 times, for offline playing would be a suitable acceleration 16x or even 32x, is it possible in the future? The second thing is, I'm sorry that my profile on the web (when I'm signed in) is not marked in the store as being the product I own, as is the case with ROF for the product is written in green "You have" will it be solved in the future? Otherwise the IL-2 GBS is an excellent simulator, excellent work. Buffin  ;)

You would need to OC your CPU to 12 GHz or so to do that. You accellerate your "world speed" by 100%, you have to add  100% of the respective CPU overhead to achieve that. This is also why in other games the game becomes a slideshow. The overhead required to compute your game world in "real" (or "given" time) starts to eat away overhead required for rendering the game world on the screen. At some point, there is just hardly anything left for drawing the world. You can see this in RoF when your 16x accelleration is not really 16x acelleration (although it says so), because the CPU cannot process your game world at that pace.

Thus, the devs had set a limit for that, to ensure a CPU can actually deviver what you ask from it.

Thank you :)

I believe they had higher acceleration speeds but they were cut down. Im assuming there was a good reason for that other than people speeding through the unlocks (when they existed).

RoF goes to 16x but rarely achieves anything much more than 2x.  I think that for BoX they dropped the charade :)

Most simply believed it was done after it was discovered that people were simply using time acceleration to whizz through the missions to get the unlocks... lol!

Yep that happened pretty quickly after the official release of BoS. I believe at that time we only had x4 max, may have even been x2.

That's mainly because Loft did choose to do it for that reason - technical issues/realities aside.

I noticed that in missions where there is a lot going on, you can set it at x8 if you want, but it will actually go closer to x2.

I guess if you hit the game engine's bottleneck in terms of AI units, it really doesnt matter what speed option you choose.

From a technical standpoint, yes.

Would be great if something like a jump to next waypoint feature could be implemented (like old CFS 2). Given how complex the missions are and how the editor works its not gonna be easy though.

Yes, didn't the original IL-2 have that as well?

When chose screen would go black for a few moments and them boom was at the next waypoint?

Or maybe I am thinking of CFS...

Time jump can be set in the old IL-2 1946. :)

So I'd like to do it mainly because I do not have the time to sit for a few hours at the PC and play IL-2 (unfortunately), I'm happy for every spare time, so this feature would help me, but I certainly do not want it because of the fast unlocking campaigns.

... and I still want to ask if the main campaign will be optional for the players without any restrictions. Settings : custom

I would sure hope so, especially as they have done away with the unlocks.

We definitely should have the ability for SP campaign to set custom settings.

We shall see soon enough.

I do not use the acceleration in the game to unlock the campaigns, because I do not play much because of the setting, but I play Script Campaigns and missions through other mission generators such as IL2mg, PWCG and, of course, separate missions.

The unlocks were done away with some time ago. I have never used acceleration either.

I played both parts of the Stalingrad campaign, a couple of the scripted campaigns, and have now been flying PWCG for quite some time.
