Diggun Posted February 5, 2018 Posted February 5, 2018 Fun as it is providing target practice for the opposing team, and doing minimal damage with my solo il2 attack runs, I have decided that I need to wing up! Is there a squad out there for me?? I am UK based, fly both red & blue fighters & attack. Not mastered bombers yet. Would be great to be able to team up with some folks and become actually effective.. Anybody?? 1
56RAF_Roblex Posted February 5, 2018 Posted February 5, 2018 56th GvIAP (formerly 56 sqn RAF :-) ) fly between 20:00 & 22:00 approx every Sunday & Wednesday. If you are around at those times and see us in your server feel free to send a message and ask to tag along. We use a private Teamspeak but I am sure the CO would share the details. Mostly VVS in squad nights though some of us fly LW when the CO is not looking.
Diggun Posted February 5, 2018 Author Posted February 5, 2018 Why thank you, I'll see if I can catch you guys!
56RAF_Roblex Posted February 6, 2018 Posted February 6, 2018 I am not the CO and we are not actively recruiting but our new members do tend to come from people that just tagged along a few times and ended up staying :-) If you are capable of taking off and landing and are willing to follow orders and are not suicidal (we aim to get home alive every time) then we have no reason not to let you continue flying with us. When I say 'willing to follow orders' I am only talking about 'You can wing XXX' or 'Everyone look at your maps while I give you the route and RV points.' It would be nice if you could keep reasonable formation and have some idea how to navigate but if you cannot we would be patient while you get better. Some people decide not to stay, we do have the occasional evening when we fly for two hours and never see proper action or just end up getting massacred :-)
Reaperr Posted June 6, 2018 Posted June 6, 2018 hey man i'm flying very often il2 so we can wing up sometime in pair is more safe and fun
