JG7_X-Man Posted February 5, 2018 Posted February 5, 2018 Question: Is it possible to run Teamspeak on PC_B but IL-2 is on PC_A. The reason is I want to see who is talking on TS a different screen - but on the same screen as my mission planner map (which is also on PC_B). I have a two monitor setup.
JimTM Posted February 5, 2018 Posted February 5, 2018 Yes. You can even get TeamSpeak for iPad (and Android, I assume).
JG7_X-Man Posted February 5, 2018 Author Posted February 5, 2018 Yes - Thanks for the information Jim, the key here is using my headset as the sole output device I guess push to talk wouldn't work since my key press wouldn't be for the machine running Teamspeak, only the box running IL-2.
SierraKiloGulf Posted February 7, 2018 Posted February 7, 2018 You'll just have to figure out a way to get PTT to work, otherwise you'll have to leave it on continuous which can be quite distracting for others in the channel, I haven't figured out a solution to that yet so I've just been using it on the gaming PC. I'm sure there is a way to send a keypress through LAN but latency might be an issue.
56RAF_Roblex Posted February 7, 2018 Posted February 7, 2018 Easy. Your headphones are connected to the gaming PC but you have an in-ear headphone with built in mic from the TS PC under the headset in one ear :-) Is it feasible to have your headset & mic connected to your TS PC and speakers on the game PC? I used to have an app on my phone & tablet that just showed who was talking on Teamspeak. That would do what you asked for but 1) I don't remember what it was called as I stopped using it 2) The reason I stopped using it *might* be that it stopped working when TS was updated. Check to see what TS apps are available for your phone or tablet.
