Hi all,

I can't find the post about the IL-2 1943 intermediate flaps and the cockpit lights anywhere. Can anyone tell me these details please?

Thanks!

Thank you very much!

I thought it was in a DD. This is exactly what I was after, cheers.

Somehow I missed this about the lights, very cool!

Interesting, but still cannot figure out how to map keys for signal lights control from gunner side.

I find the 1943 to be very under-powered even though it has a more  powerful engine. I realise it's a bit heavier but the difference between it and the 1942 with gunner seems marked. Still fun though.

Are you sure you're not setting something wrong with mixture or RPM?

The 43 has noticeably more power, it certainly flies a lot better than the earlier versions with gunners.

I've been trying the older ones again, it seems I misremembered how bad they are with gunners as I usually fly without.  You're right, the old ones wallow terribly.

The 1942 model with the terrible chop-shop "gunner" is a trap that catches a lot of people.
