=38=Tatarenko Posted February 2, 2018 Posted February 2, 2018 Hi all,I can't find the post about the IL-2 1943 intermediate flaps and the cockpit lights anywhere. Can anyone tell me these details please? Thanks!

=38=Tatarenko Posted February 3, 2018 Author Posted February 3, 2018 Thank you very much!I thought it was in a DD. This is exactly what I was after, cheers.
kestrel79 Posted February 3, 2018 Posted February 3, 2018 Somehow I missed this about the lights, very cool!
III/JG2Gustav05 Posted February 3, 2018 Posted February 3, 2018 Interesting, but still cannot figure out how to map keys for signal lights control from gunner side.

=38=Tatarenko Posted February 3, 2018 Author Posted February 3, 2018 I find the 1943 to be very under-powered even though it has a more powerful engine. I realise it's a bit heavier but the difference between it and the 1942 with gunner seems marked. Still fun though.

The 43 has noticeably more power, it certainly flies a lot better than the earlier versions with gunners.
=38=Tatarenko Posted February 4, 2018 Author Posted February 4, 2018 I've been trying the older ones again, it seems I misremembered how bad they are with gunners as I usually fly without. You're right, the old ones wallow terribly.

You're right, the old ones wallow terribly. The 1942 model with the terrible chop-shop "gunner" is a trap that catches a lot of people.
