WithStrangeAeons Posted February 1, 2018 Posted February 1, 2018 Cool! I'll be sure to reference this for a button box I'm planning.
kestrel79 Posted February 1, 2018 Posted February 1, 2018 I got one similar to this made by Derek Speare Designs who mainly does Simracing gear. Very good stuff!
Sturmovnik_PL Posted February 3, 2018 Posted February 3, 2018 If someone have any question about button box, can ask me, 'cause i made one for yourself.
SYN_Skydance Posted February 3, 2018 Posted February 3, 2018 (edited) I made this using the inside of an old Logitek joystick and a selection of different switches. The housing was a clear pencil tray that I painted from the inside. Edited February 3, 2018 by SYN_Skydance 1

WWSitttingDuck Posted February 4, 2018 Posted February 4, 2018 Sokol1, thanks for posting. Any chance of getting a parts list?
Sokol1 Posted February 4, 2018 Author Posted February 4, 2018 Look bellow in "show more" in Youtube video page, all parts is listed there, with link suggestion for buy.
Sturmovnik_PL Posted February 4, 2018 Posted February 4, 2018 (edited) Sokol1, thanks for posting. Any chance of getting a parts list? Arduino pro micro ( must be atmega32u4 controller) Switches Potentiometers ( if you want axes) Universal Case Tools Wires Soldering kit USB with micro plug, and that's all. Sokol1 Posted February 4, 2018 Author Posted February 4, 2018 (edited) Potentiometers ( if you want axes) Notice that the used sketch (firmware) don't support (analog) axis, but instead encoders - looks like a potentiometer but press buttons when turned. A firmware that support both encoder and axis (potentiometer) is MMjoy2, too compatible with Arduino PRO Micro or other ATMEGA32u4 based Arduino, e.g. Teensy 2.0, ++2.0 Edited February 4, 2018 by Sokol1

But if someone want axes, i can give my sketch which support axes.

BurchSung Posted May 24, 2018 Posted May 24, 2018 (edited) Hi...t he dsd button boxes are pretty decent, the dash version they make are in my opinion their best - I say this because the other boxes tend to be very large in size but then physically place the buttons and rotary switches too close together. Making it hard in VR or simply finding it while driving quickly. Often they only use 2/3 of the face plate leaving you with a box that is 30% bigger than it needs to be and buttons to close. percentages calculator Edited June 18, 2018 by BurchSung
