Silly key binding question

I noticed when you map a key to an action, there is no warning to tell you that key is already used for something else. Or is there and I'm just being blind? Sometimes double binding is useful and that's fine, but scrolling through all the control pages just to check I didn't map something that will cause accidental double input is annoying. Am I missing something?

I believe there is an icon that indicates double bindings, and I think it even tells you what they are if you hover your mouse on that icon. I think the icon is orange, if memory serves. Also, that wasn't a silly question
