[APAF]VR_Spartan85 Posted January 30, 2018 Posted January 30, 2018 I know this ship is just a initiation for another crew but I was curious on the status of development? Has the new team been doing well or is it something we do not speak of? 1
Finkeren Posted January 30, 2018 Posted January 30, 2018 As with all other things, this is probably something the devs will show us, when there is something to show. Right now the 3rd party developer is likely deeply mired in “under the hood” stuff, which is at the heart of the sim but not really something you can show the community. The time to model the Po-2 is likely going to be longer than the six week average for a fighter aircraft, since the team has to learn on the fly.
Field-Ops Posted January 31, 2018 Posted January 31, 2018 And boy an I excited over the idea of having another team adding planes on the side of main development. I BUY IT ALL
Field-Ops Posted January 31, 2018 Posted January 31, 2018 It’s like STDs and Pokemon ain’t it? Whoa dont dig too far into the rabbit hole. Stuff can be addicting what can i say.
Nil Posted February 1, 2018 Posted February 1, 2018 (edited) Ach! I came to this forum to have some news about the Po2... I can not wait to fly this bird!! Edited February 1, 2018 by 1./TG1_Nil
Danziger Posted February 2, 2018 Posted February 2, 2018 Yes. I too am eagerly awaiting the next delicious morsel of information on the progress of the U2. Maybe something in today's DD... 1
Pail Posted February 2, 2018 Posted February 2, 2018 Sniper gunners! Contrary to popular belief all VVS gunnery training was done in Pe-2s. 1
Nil Posted February 2, 2018 Posted February 2, 2018 Ok a juicy update: the cockpit is almost finished. Just missing colors
Finkeren Posted February 2, 2018 Posted February 2, 2018 It's gonna be weird flying a wood-and-canvas biplane with such a relatively modern-looking dashboard.
CUJO_1970 Posted February 2, 2018 Posted February 2, 2018 I hope it gets here sooner rather than later - such a cool little airplane. 1
Pail Posted February 17, 2018 Posted February 17, 2018 Could that be a PO-2 still 'owning' this BF-110 zerstorer to this very day ?
Pail Posted February 17, 2018 Posted February 17, 2018 Release pack with an Hs-123? Wouldn't it be lovely....

6./ZG26_5tuka Posted February 17, 2018 Posted February 17, 2018 Could that be a PO-2 still 'owning' this BF-110 zerstorer to this very day ? It's a Fw 44 Stieglitz trainer, not a Po-2. Germans used captured Po-2s quite a bit as laision aircraft or glider tug. It was commonly known as the 'air tractor' due to it's reminiscent sound.
Pail Posted February 17, 2018 Posted February 17, 2018 It's a Fw 44 Stieglitz trainer, not a Po-2. Thanks I suspected it wasn't a Po-2 but i wasn't sure what it was ( is why i was careful with my language......while also attempting to get a response from someone with a little 'troublemaking' tm ) Thankyou very much. It was from a niceish webpage https://acesflyinghigh.wordpress.com/2017/01/21/the-survivors-messerschmitt-bf-110-zerstorer/
56RAF_Roblex Posted February 17, 2018 Posted February 17, 2018 I saw a nice article in a paper I would not usually wipe my arse with. Low on details but some lovely photographs https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/world-news/gallery/might-night-witches-stunning-colour-10827354 3
Finkeren Posted February 17, 2018 Posted February 17, 2018 Nice pictures, but the text for the first picture of Litvyak and Budanova made me cringe. So obviously written by a guy who didn’t know a thing and didn’t care. I mean: Did no one notice, that the 588th was presented as both a fighter- and night bomber regiment in the same article? Also: Litvyak and Budanova’s unit was not “women-only”, far from it.
