Now I can fine expired BOM ones which I have but I do not see the expired collectors planes ones. Are they removed after they expire? Just asking, I will be buying some in the Steam February sale anyway ( Lunar New Year Sale). I am just curious that is all.

Not sure about promo codes, but just wanted to point out that you can buy the collector planes direct from the il2 store, and they will be instantly available in your steam IL2 BoX executable. I think IL2 store tends to have sales on at the same time as steam, if you buy from the official store then more of your money gets to the game studio cutting out the middle man. 1
