Madshepherd Posted January 28, 2018 Posted January 28, 2018 Hi Following the "Beginners Guide " (list) I find i am unable to keybind the Fuel Cock Radiator Prop Pitch on the Hurricane . I have tried various combinations etc but without success is there a combination that works thanks
Sokol1 Posted January 28, 2018 Posted January 28, 2018 (edited) Fuel Cock, you can assign only one key (or button) for "Fuel cock #1 - toggle" this work ok for Spitfire but result a bit awkward for Hurricane because in this plane the cock has 3 positions: OFF - MAIN - RESERVE, but since reserve has very little (in any) use, because from MAIN you need move the cock to RESERVE to turn back to OFF. If instead assign a key for "FUEL COCK #1 - Next position" and another for "FUEL COCK #1 - Prev. position" the usage became more logical, will use only OFF- MAIN - OFF. Anyway both options work OK. Radiator you need a key for "Radiator Open" and another for "Radiator Close", this command require press and hold the key (or can use a axis if have). For propeller set a key for "Propeller Pitch - Increase" and another for "Propeller Pitch - Decrease", this command require press and hold the key (or can use a axis if have). You may notice that are options for "#1 Propeller Pitch - Increase" or "Radiator #1 - Open", but this option with # don't work for single engine planes in some cases - so avoid. Madshepherd Posted January 28, 2018 Author Posted January 28, 2018 Hi Sokol 1 thanks for reply I have always supported this game over the years but this is the first time i have took it i bit more serious so you advice is much appreciated I will take off and land this thing if kills me cheers
Sokol1 Posted January 28, 2018 Posted January 28, 2018 CloD Hurricane is a bit o trick for take-off, due the tendency to nose down and flip up. Besides adjust trim tail heavy drop ~28º of flaps help.
Madshepherd Posted January 29, 2018 Author Posted January 29, 2018 Hi Sokol 1 Still couldn't get it to work on your above advice. however i found this :---------- Tick the option "Temperature effects" or something ... below Complex Engine Management in "Realism" menu. Sokol1 Aug. 2005 Now it does thanks
