[IL2 1946] bombs fall through other planes

hi all,

 

i just played 1946 with the 1916 mod, and stock game, i wanted to know if there were any other ways to take down planes

i've tried many things, but not bombing, after trying to bomb planes in flight, i noticed that the bombs fall right through them, in both stock and 1916,

bombs fall through planes in so many games and simulators, but is there a mod, patch, plug in or whatever to fix this?

I've bombed bombers successfully in 1946 before. I've even bombed myself once lol 

DBW 1916 is a different story. Many WWI planes lack hitboxes or have them where you'd least expect them so bombing WWI planes probably is a tough thing to do.

At some point it was surely possible to to bomb aircraft in flight in 1946 - bombs didn't fall through, they simply exploded on contact or sticked to them (didn't bounce off either) if you used delay. This was actually one of the easiest - and meanest, to be frank - ways to destroy the monstrous TB-3s on early war servers.
