Looking for a squadron

Recommended Posts

I am interested in joining an online squadron, but I have a busy job and a family, so unfortunately I can't necessarily commit to play even once a week, and if I did, it couldn't be late at night (Eastern Time).  I am not trying to sound picky or demanding; that is just my situation.  If there are any squadrons here that would allow for that, I would be interested in joining.

I am looking for something realistic, with squad tactics and historical accuracy.  I would consider 'dead is dead', but it's not a requirement -- I am not so much interested in kill counts or medals as having fun while staying reasonably accurate/realistic.  This might be partly because I am not so good at dogfighting or air combat (yet), but who knows...

I'm on the east coast as well.  II/JG3 is looking for pilots. We are DiD , staying alive is a reasonably accurate. If you just sortie you are awarded points for keeping your persona alive, even if you don't enter a dogfight. Which is accurate to RL as you are given points towards promotion for time in service (as I remember it from my time in service).  I'm pretty sure you can make your own hours. You can ask questions on the JG3 thread on this board, it doesn't hurt to inquire even if you decide to go elsewhere. Here's the link to the JG 3 web site

We'll end up mostly flying rottes and pilots will need to be proactive in pairing themselves up for that. We have a forum and Teamspeak server to use now, very kindly provided by the boss of my WW1 Jasta (Black Haze J7).

Reddog has signed up and there's another chap who's enquired (concerned about time zones but it's not an issue). The more people we get from various time zones the easier it'll be for paired sorties and more. :)

Hey Keet!

Another East Coaster here in South Cakalackie (GO COCKS!) Have a gander at http://www.69giap.com

if you want to consider a Russian/VVS unit for BoS. We have NO attendance requirements, hell, I'm just back from a TWO YEAR TDY! We have top notch real world training that you can get into as much, or as little, as your heart desires and time allows.

Dead is dead for the mission, but you can be someone else the next time we fly and you don't even have to change your name!

We fly all of IL-2 and ROF at present and will be deep into campaign gaming as soon as it works We have members all over the globe - literally - so there is almost always someone to fly with. Campaigns are run in Euro Time or EDT/EST. You should be able to find one that works for you or just hang out and fly in training/pick up matches until a time slot works for you.

BTW, you need to like vodka! (It's how we get paid!)
