Godspeed Posted January 23, 2018 Posted January 23, 2018 Hello I have Kuban & Ju-52 from il2sturmovik.com When Kuban is released on Steam do i just press "Get Steam Key" on profile page and i get the Steam key. Or is it some bureaucratic procedure? Do i lose my Pre-Order status on il2sturmovik account if i ask Steam Key? I really want to have them on Steam even they are not really but i want to have the mark in there.
Mac_Messer Posted January 23, 2018 Posted January 23, 2018 ...And to be able to post a review :hint hint:
Jade_Monkey Posted January 23, 2018 Posted January 23, 2018 (edited) Yes, in the past it has been just clicking on the link and generating a new steam key. If you already have BOS on steam, I'd say don't do it since it doesnt make any difference. You will still be able to use the steam updater and all the benefits without taking profits from the devs. ...And to be able to post a review :hint hint: I'm not sure it's worth taking a cut from the devs profits just to post a review on Steam. Steam does not give free keys away, they charge the devs for them. This is coming from someone who got the Steam keys for BOS etc., I wont do it with BOK. Edited January 23, 2018 by Jade_Monkey
Godspeed Posted January 23, 2018 Author Posted January 23, 2018 (edited) Yes i have Stalingrad & Moscow in Steam. I bought Stalingrad (Boxed) from Gamestop in 2014 but the key inside was for Steam. ( So i have not buy the simulator for Steam in mind, i got the platform what developers wanted me to have ) So i want Kuban to be there aswell. Edited January 23, 2018 by Godspeed

My understanding is that if I prepurchased BoK, I get to request a Steam activation key for free after BoK is released. If that is how things go, there is no loss in it for devs.
Jade_Monkey Posted January 23, 2018 Posted January 23, 2018 Its free for you, not for them Yes i have Stalingrad & Moscow in Steam. ( So i have not buy the simulator for Steam in mind, i got the platform what developers wanted me to have ) So i want Kuban to be there aswell. You will be able to play it from steam just fine. No need to activate the key in steam. Again, none of my business how you play the game or what keys you want to activate. I juat want to make sure people understand what they are doing.

I thought you were completely aware of how the system works. No, you don't lose your pre-order status for something you already pre-ordered but evidently you already knew that.
