Out of town, cable is down and the wine cellar is full.

Any bomber pilot knows what it is for.

Added the templates for anyone who wants to build the same tool.  I spray mounted mine to foam core, cut them out with an exacto blade and drilled the center.  Connects with a small threaded nut and washers on both sides.

 

Instructions

 

1. Set the direction the wind is blowing from by rotating the wind wheel.

2. Rotate the aircraft wheel around until it points in the direction your are flying

3. Read your actual wind correction of the black ring against the red arrow.

That's a neat little tool. I've never done a lot of bombing but at some point I'll have to give it a try. Thanks for sharing.

Finally got around to printing this out and assembling. I just printed it on cardstock and a small screw/nut to hold it together. Works great and comes in very handy. Thanks!
