haltux Posted January 19, 2018 Posted January 19, 2018 Hello, When I switch off the IL2 engine (I just press E), it does not switch off completely. It continues coughing, stopping and restarting, forever. What am I missing? Thanks for your help.
TP_Jacko Posted January 19, 2018 Posted January 19, 2018 What is the techno chat saying. You can activate it from the options. If the text shows it re-starting after 1 hit of the E key then there may be a bug
andyw248 Posted January 20, 2018 Posted January 20, 2018 Could be what's called "nachdieseln" in German. I think I experienced it once when shutting down the Fw-190, after idling on the ground for a few minutes. It's caused by hot spots in the cylinder head (e.g. valves) that cause residual mixture to detonate. If this is indeed modeled in the sim, it might be slightly overdone.

It was very much looking like something like that, like if the engine does not want to stop. So I guess I just have to wait a little bit and the problem should solves itself.
