You are limited to one plane in BoX forever... which do you choose?

Not owning the game yet, but +1 for P-40, as this is the plane (alongside two remaining US ones) I'm going to buy BoK for .

Spitfire. It flies so smoothly and is my favourite to just fly around in this sim, except for when half of the horizontal stabiliser is shot off and it suddenly becomes uncontrollable LOL

Hard to say, but i would probably take the A-20.

I'd probably go with the Butcher Bird. Excellent fighter, pretty good fighter bomber, so I can still play a variety of missions with it.

P40 because I could fly it in any theater, and it's the coolest single seat aircraft ever.

Be sure.

Not difficult choice for me at all...FW-190.

A hard choice. Of the aircraft currently available, I'd probably settle for the Pe-2. When the P-38 arrives, I may have to have a rethink.

I like twins...

Same here. But Sirens though.

Why do you ask such a hard question?

Given the current plane set and the requirement to be able to inflict damage on the ground as well as in the air hmmmm

Ju88 for Gerry and Pe2 for Ivan ))

I seem to get good air kills in those planes as well as wreak havoc on the ground.

For pure flying pleasure, hmm to many to choose from, maybe the 109F4 but then there is the Yak 1 and Spit and so on and so on, I can't choose.  Such a horrible exercise you have wrought on the community ))

Sirens? Yup, sirens are good too...

Funnily enough my Sisters favourite Soundtrack. And when my USB Shuffles it in, I leave it to play to the End pretty much every time.

Hawker Tempest when it comes out :-)

Probably the P-39 once it arrives. From the current set, I'll have to say the 1942 Yak-1. I prefer the Pe-2 for bombing, the Il-2 for strafing, and either La-5 or MiG-3 for air-to-air, but I know I can do all of these tasks satisfactorily in the Yak-1.

Spit for flying, I-16 for fighting and dying in.

Fairy swordfish.

As I'd enjoy: flying an attack run in bad weather against the mighty Bismarck, see the night sky above Taranto harbor lit up by Aa as I release a torpedo, hunt submarines with an Asv radar while based on a carrier and then launch off of a battleship, radio gunnery corrections back and land on floats in heavy sea.

Best of all, I'd get to do all that in an open cockpit, at speeds so low I could lean back and admire the scene.

Yes I know.

LaGG-3 for me love the 37mm

It has to be the P-51D for me. Several other planes in the current set and those coming in the next installment (the one after Kuban) are very strong "likes" for me. But I love the P-51. Always have. There!!! I've said it publicly. Hate me if you will, cause I know it's fashionable to berate the Mustang around here. To each his own. It is "my" favorite A/C of all time. :)

Spitfire.  So pleasurable to fly, gorgeous. Especially in Pink.

My favorite plane is the FW-190.... then the ME-109... then the Spitfire... then the LA-5.... then the I-16... then the MC-202.... I do fly all the other planes on occassion... the BOS is stupendous... the Autumn collection of missions well worth $10.... the YAK collection (Steppes) takes too long to get into the action with a plane that has limited ammo, but, basically I'll buy whatever they come out with.  I wish we could speed up the boring parts of the flights with 8X speed, or 16X speed... I wish that we could land our fighter and re-arm, re-fuel then continue the mission.... I wish there were more missions which was to defend our airport because you're in the action as soon as you take-off.  I hope they don't make things easier... the FW 190 is very difficult to land without ground looping... keep that in there.... you have to line up your target precisely with the proper lead, keep that in there, the MIg is difficult to take-off but can be done with zero flaps... keep that in there... the P-40 is like flying a cow compared to the FW, but that makes it more real... thank goodness for the designers to only have the P-40 up against BF-109 E's or ME-110's.... it wouldn't be fun to fly against an FW-190 A5... suicide.  The ground targets are interesting to straffe, perhaps they could burn a little more dramatically.  The FW stalls really easy, keep that in there, the BF 109 is more forgiving and it makes an interesting contrast to the FW.  Part of the fun is the beauty of taking off your favorite plane with the favorite colorful skin using an exterior view and seeing it bank and climb above the Russian countryside.

P-38, my favorite aircraft of all time. Considering getting a couple throttle quadrants just for it when it releases.

Hey Swing, all the P40 needs is a decent engine and some revisions to its cooling.  Oh well, I suppose that ended up being the P51.

As for them Sirens which turned Pete into a Horny Toad, love that film ))

B-25, once made flyable.

IL-2 AM-38F.

Because it has little bomblettes a gogo !

This is really hard.. Likely the LaGG-3 because of its versatility.

Bf-109G6, no further explanations needed :)

Fw-190. And I would like more the Fw-190 if it would have been simulationed correct. According to Wing Commander Johnny Johnsson (top Brittish ace) the Fw-190 turns better than the Spit V.

Junkers 52 of course!

flying this is much more enjoyable than I thought.

I love to give support and communicate with other pilots to fulfill my mission

Oh boy....

Nah, not gonna touch that with a ten foot pole.

I thought it was simulationed ok? They can only really go on hard data, though. Otherwise it's he said she said.

When the Spitfire came out, it felt weird, but now is probably one of my favorites. Just need moar ammo!

I've hardly touched the Spit. Note to self: learn to fly it.
