EAF_51_FOX Posted January 16, 2018 Posted January 16, 2018 Anyone know how I can enable during game the bottom bar of win 7 as to set some application like e.g. teamspeak volume , colour trough NVpanel settings, windov volume changing of game etc..? I tried logo window+d cmd but did nothing even in full screen game setting enabled or disabled.
SCG_Tzigy Posted January 16, 2018 Posted January 16, 2018 ctrl.alt.del only option for me and have to do twice for it to work (in full screen mode)
56RAF_Roblex Posted January 16, 2018 Posted January 16, 2018 (edited) Your mileage may vary but personally I find I cannot use 'Alt-Tab' unless I already have another windowed app running in the background like Teamspeak or a browser (not minimised). If I am already in game before I remember I do no not have Teamspeak or any other app running then I use Ctl-Alt-Del to get Task Manager running then use Alt-Tab to go to that. Once I have focus on Task Manager I can then see the taskbar. Note that when using Alt-Tab sometimes it does not switch apps immediately but when I do it a second time but keep the 'Alt' held down then the box showing the list of apps I can switch to (eg IL2 or Task Manager) comes up then I use Tab to select the other app before letting go of both keys. I suspect what is happening is that when you let go of Alt-Tab immediately it does not have time to show you the choices of what apps you can switch to and just chooses the default app which is IL2 BoX so it seems to do nothing. Sorry if I am 'stating the bleedin' obvious' but I have seen people just hit Ctl-Alt briefly and when that does not work they just decide it does not work and never try again. Hoss Posted January 16, 2018 Posted January 16, 2018 I use Alt/Tab to see what's running, I can keep hitting it to cycle through what's there, once highlighted release the buttons and it will come up, I can see and control that window. Hoss
sniperton Posted January 17, 2018 Posted January 17, 2018 I cannot use 'Alt-Tab' unless I already have another windowed app running in the background Same here, Win10 Pro 64bit. Note that apps have to be windowed, not minimized.
EAF_51_FOX Posted January 17, 2018 Author Posted January 17, 2018 ok, try to be more clear: if you use (like me) Teamspeak or/and Track-ir-Opentrack and assign any button to e.g. push-to-talk (Teamspeak) or any button to center-wiev (Opentrack) AND you have any problem during Il2 running, THEN If you press alt+del+canc to minimize the game to set up anything, then your keybindings assigned to those other app (opentrack-teamspeak etc..) become upset as CTRL+ need to be pressed in addendum. Hope it is clear

Hope it is clear Nope still not being clear enough. *All* of the above provisos apply to me. I do use TS with PTT, EDTracker & Opentrack both with their own centring buttons (used to use TrackIr) but none of them are affected by pressing Ctl-Alt-Del. Why would they? That is a genuine question from a bemused reader. Why would setting CTL-F12 as my centring button or Ctl-T as my push-to-talk button ,for example, mean they get confused when I press Alt-Ctl-Del (or Ctl-Alt-Del)?
EAF_51_FOX Posted January 18, 2018 Author Posted January 18, 2018 (edited) Roblex, I'm happy for you that you don't have my problem. Remain for me that if i minimize game (only solution I know/working for me ctrl+alt+canc) I have ctr+ "Button keymapped" now to center wiev in opentrack for example instead my previous setting that was only "Button assigned" by me. So I am asking if anyone know another method to minimize the game and/or see window underbar instrument display or activate win desktop. Edited January 18, 2018 by EAF_51_FOX
sniperton Posted January 18, 2018 Posted January 18, 2018 @Fox: 1. Leave one application running, be it Opentrack or TS or anything. Important: it must be open and visible on your desktop, not minimized to the toolbar! 2. Start BoX. 3. Now you should be able to Alt-Tab from BoX to the application. Once you switched to the application, you have full access to your desktop. 4. If it doesn't work, make sure that BoX is running in windowed mode (not maximized!). 5. It should work now.
56RAF_Roblex Posted January 18, 2018 Posted January 18, 2018 (edited) thank you very much Sniperton! So what part of Snipertons post solved your issue? The only thing he said that you had not already been told to do was "4. If it doesn't work, make sure that BoX is running in windowed mode (not maximized!)" which is odd because I don't run BoX in windowed mode, I run it full screen (ie the 'Full Screen' box is ticked). I am asking because I know other people who say they cannot use Alt-Tab and I would like to help them, Edited January 18, 2018 by 56RAF_Roblex
sniperton Posted January 19, 2018 Posted January 19, 2018 Dunno exactly what did solve his issue. As to the inability to Alt-Tab from the game, people may not always realise how important it is to have at least one application running in windowed mode. As to the Full Screen tick box, it shouldn't make any difference when you run the game in your native display resolution (as I do). And as to both, Win7 and Win10 may make some difference, although I don't think too many people here still have Win7.

Edited January 19, 2018 by 1/JSpan_Guerrero
56RAF_Roblex Posted January 19, 2018 Posted January 19, 2018 @ 56RAF_Roblex : this Not a big help :-) We all know it was one of those but which one? Step one. make sure you have a windowed app to Alt-Tab to, is one of the first things we suggested. I find I cannot use 'Alt-Tab' unless I already have another windowed app running in the background like Teamspeak or a browser (not minimised). Step Two, to start BoX is something I hope you already tried Step Three, Use Alt-Tab, was mentioned by myself, Hoff & Sniperton on 16th & 17th. Step Four, run BoX in Windowed mode, is the only suggestion I can see that was new. Was it running BoX in WIndowed mode that made it work?
EAF_51_FOX Posted January 19, 2018 Author Posted January 19, 2018 (edited) I'm sorry ROBLEX you can't follow sniperton instructions, make shure to read carefully the instructions he posted as i did again for you and you will find the solution. Leave open the window of the app you need and use keys alt+tab. Cheers!. Edited January 19, 2018 by EAF_51_FOX
56RAF_Roblex Posted January 20, 2018 Posted January 20, 2018 You mean we wasted days trying to help you because you did not listen when we told you earlier how to do it? Your mileage may vary but personally I find I cannot use 'Alt-Tab' unless I already have another windowed app running in the background like Teamspeak or a browser (not minimised). If I am already in game before I remember I do no not have Teamspeak or any other app running then I use Ctl-Alt-Del to get Task Manager running then use Alt-Tab to go to that. Hoss Same here, Win10 Pro 64bit. Note that apps have to be windowed, not minimized. . Leave open the window of the app you need and use keys alt+tab. Note that you don't have to have the particular app you want opened as long as it is running and *something* other than BoX is open. You asked for help in getting access to the task bar and we told you how to do that. Once you have access to the taskbar you can 'un-minimise' the app you are interested in. As an example, I use EDTracker and Opentrack and once they are running I minimise both of them , ie no longer windowed, because they work better minimised but I leave Teamspeak open when I go into BoX. If I am playing BoX and I want to make an adjustment in Opentrack I hold Alt-Tab and it brings up a window showing BoX and Teamspeak. I select Teamspeak and I am now focused on the Teamspeak window and can now see the desktop including the taskbar. As I can see the taskbar I can click on the Opentrack icon to bring it up in a window and make my adjustments then minimise it and click on the BoX icon to go back to the game. If I had not had Teamspeak or something else running windowed then I would not have been able to alt-tab out but once out I can use the taskbar to open anything I need. In my example it would have worked just as well if I had left Opentrack open in a window but had minimised Teamspeak. I still could have alt-tabbed to Opentrack then opened up Teamspeak from the taskbar.
EAF_51_FOX Posted January 20, 2018 Author Posted January 20, 2018 56 Roblex, what is your problem with me? are you the chief manager of this forum as you pay people here not to "waste time" to answer people? tell me. May be I haven't understand quickly and fully as you can do to a reply, but if you want to dig this to polemic you then really are wasting time. Cheers.
56RAF_Roblex Posted January 20, 2018 Posted January 20, 2018 (edited) From my perspective I took time to try to help someone who asked for help and when I was told my advice did not help I asked for clarification of what the problem is so I could try again but got an irritated reply. When the problem was apparently solved I then asked for help in return so I could I could see what fixed it for you and help others with the same problem and got a rude reply. Despite this I still took time to explain some others related things that would help anyone with this issue and got an even ruder reply. Is it your English? When someone tries to help but you don't understand the reply don't assume it must be an insult and lash out. That is very rude. Don't reply to me. I am abandoning this thread as a bad investment of my time. Edited January 20, 2018 by 56RAF_Roblex
EAF_51_FOX Posted January 20, 2018 Author Posted January 20, 2018 Yes , better you take some breath Mr roblex , i see you are a bit overlayed from obsessive persecution: read again better my above replies to the answers received into this topic: I never was rude nor irritated I don't really know where those yours assumptions starts from. I'm sorry you give arbitrary and fantasy misunderstandings about me, please in the future is better then you really don't take care about my posts as to prevent any future "lost of your precious time..". Cheers.
