TheoVedovelli Posted August 23, 2022 Posted August 23, 2022 (edited) I am also a fan of pink Floyd covers alums. Not just that, but I love their whole presence in this industry. They are one of the few who still focus on cover albums and don't consider it a waste of money and time. People are bored of covers with just a face and nothing else, and they seem to understand. I used to list them without looking at their covers. However, I once discovered one on create.vista, and since then, I bought each of their albums to have these covers because I am sure we won't find them anymore in some years. I think that was Roger. He wanted to make an artistic statement.

I saw Roger Waters in concert recently, say what you will about the man (I prefer music over politics) but the sound was beyond comprehension it was so good.
ST_Catchov Posted August 27, 2022 Posted August 27, 2022 There's no doubt all members of Pink Floyd are rock legends. I particularly like Gilmour's guitar playing which is extraordinary.

OK after seeing them I can tell you without a doubt they are probably the best live band I’ve ever seen. They played for 2-1/2 hours and they nailed every song. They were technically superb and the sound is incredible - they mimic all of Pink Floyd’s guitar techniques to the smallest detail - for example setting up a huge amp right next to the guitar to produce a sound that can only come from a specific feedback frequency, including the specific distance the guitar is held and moved at different distances to the amp…also, lasers! (of course) I can tell you if you ever get an opportunity to see them in Australia take advantage of it…I was able to see them only a week after seeing Roger Waters and frankly they were every bit as good. 1

( Almost) I can still remember the percussionist embedded within a large transparent sphere fully lined inside with all kinds of percussive objects banging away happily. There was the floating pig of course and I think a big brass bed roaring over our heads at one point completely unexpected and startling. Very theatrical as you'd expect. The air was thick with the aroma of cannabis. Good times. The Sydney entertainment centre where the concert was held has since been ripped down. 1988 was a particularly good year for me. Lived in Sydney (before it got too big), had a hot chick, a good job, my own pad (mortgaged) near the harbour bridge northside and the bicentenary celebrations of Capt Arthur Phillips founding Australia as a convict colony in 1788 were in full swing. His first recorded words to the local Aborigines were allegedly 'G'day mate. Strewth it's hot. Got any beers? I'll swap 'em for these convicts. Where're the bookies?' And like all good convicts, we partied all through '88. Livin' the dream. And it began with Pink Floyd. 1
