Spotter unit causing bomber to attack fighters

....just to make sure I'm not missing something.

Using a spotter (object linked to a given AC) causes that aircraft, if left on autopilot, to attack fighters and thus not behave like a bomber.

Has anyone else seen this behavior?

 

Also radio messages indicate "fighters to the north, engage" etc which is fine if you're in a fighter, but not so much for a bomber.
