Pilot Skins ?

Devs and skinners,is it/would it be possible to make a small alternative to your excellent Luftwaffe pilot skin ?

 

On the Eastern front,most of the Luftwaffe pilots were wearing darkened/tinted goggles for flying as the reflection from the bright snow and sun would've made the wearing of clear goggles impossible,I therefore would like to put forward a small request as an alternative to the existing pilot skin.

 

Could you please make an alternative pilot with darkened or tinted goggles so that the pilot is more historically correct to the theatre of the Eastern front of WWII.

 

Below are some of the real 'Splitterschutzbrille' Flying Goggles manufactured by by Nitsche & Gunther for fighter pilots,and two other pictures showing a Stuka pilot and a bomber pilot also wearing these goggles.

 

These are only my ideas,I love the pilot model you have created,and this is in no way a critiscism of the current pilot model,but I believe having it with the dark goggle option would be much more historically correct.

Is the "pilot skin" somewhere to be found on our rigs, or are they on some servers?

 

There were such splinter-protection goggles in several versions; they were given different letters ("A" - "D").

There were redbrown ones for night fighters,  blue ones for snow, clear and grey for Central European daylight, and brown for Afrika Korps.

Pretty sure it's in the encrypted game data files. Would this option only affect the pilot model or would it also tint your view like operating the helmet visor in DCS MiG-21bis?

I was more concerned that the pilot and observer get Summer and Winter flight uniforms for the Po2. My point was that a female crew be the default for the Po2 but there already male models so it may be possible to have both... Appropriate uniforms might be more worthwhile and would justify a new human model. That's how it makes sense to me to make a female one this time that perhaps could be re-used if customizable crew was introduced later.

 

But uniform variety and at least some crew model choice would be great.

Yes some Imperial Tie-fighter pilots would be nice too....
