JG1_Shadepiece Posted January 10, 2018 Posted January 10, 2018 In this thread I would like some further information on how the durability values in the editor work. A few questions I have, 1. Is there an official cutoff point where guns and cannons cannot damage a block no matter how many rounds you land on target? 2. Are there some recommended values for structures of different sizes? 3. What is a good value for gun emplacements or sandbags?
IRRE_Genius Posted March 11, 2018 Posted March 11, 2018 Hi, I have the same questions. Any response (i found value of 7000 and 10000 in the "Pre release edition one manuel") ? Bye
IRRE_Golgoth21 Posted March 14, 2018 Posted March 14, 2018 Beyond 2000 it's difficult. I think 3000 is a good start.
[Pb]Vapor Posted March 14, 2018 Posted March 14, 2018 (edited) I found a lot of maps and even some of the defaults from the template files have durability of things such as buildings set to 5000. That is usually individual buildings, but I have also seen it set as such for groups of fuel tanks and bunkers. I usually bump up the value for large warehouse blocks and the like but have never seen anything very specific about this. I never set anything over 10,000. I set bags and emplacements as the default because most players won't notice and I don't usually count those as mission specific targets, but that is just me. I am really curious about what the recommended tank durability values are for tank static block objects. Other threads have discussed 2,000 being the cut off for MG destruction. I myself have not tested this. Edited March 14, 2018 by FFS_Vapor
IRRE_Golgoth21 Posted March 14, 2018 Posted March 14, 2018 my settings : 1500 : trucks 2000 : Planes 5000 : Small buildings 10 000 : Medium 15 000 : Big 25 000 : Almost 2 tons of bombs to be destroyed.
Professor_Henry Posted April 3, 2018 Posted April 3, 2018 Hi all, I set up building "graphics\buildings\bar_04.mgm" . I created the linked entity and added an on killed event triggering a counter. I made some test with durability and even on 100000 the buildung got blown up by an german 250Kg direct hit and triggers the onKilled event. Actually i want it to trigger at a payload of min. 500kg. Some russians ment to be in the warehouse in rugged defense and german groundforce call close air support to break any resistance.
JG1_Shadepiece Posted May 21, 2018 Author Posted May 21, 2018 I believe the highest value you can set is 25000. Perhaps setting a higher value is defaulting it to 10000?
