no really. Take in mind the artillery move to a different tactical position at night, so IRL Stuka have nothing to do in this case. You can have a big area to search when start day time, but search with Stuka beyond front line... not a good idea. All that was taking only the day time attack. of course the weather and fly condition in winter was not always everyday in good condition to search from the air, but good to move soviet artillery to prepare the next task.   

 

Now, start thinking how will be the German ground forces early morning after a Katyushas night attack. For sure the whole German air force will not know where are the new front line with the Germans ground forces disbanded after received a storm of rockets.

 

As you can see real war battlefield is hard to bring on the table for Air force Simulation because you miss a lot of decisive details. As the BF-109 or FW-190 had nothing to do in those decisive war tactics, must be something in the Sim that bring to the table the tools for the players to control a great counter offensive like the Soviet did in WW2.
