The singleplayer is still the same one, and AFAIK no work is being done to directly improve it. However, several campaigns that are much better than the original ones have been released. Unfortunately I'm not aware of a easy  repository to search for them.

This is not planned, and I seriously doubt it will become a feature. The team developing CloD are mainly focused in catering to the full realism crowd, which overwhelmingly does not want mouse control to be an option.

You can be rude as much as you want, but there is a clearly problem with the sectioning of this forum. Il-2 Clod just got promoted to being a full release on the Il-2 Website, and yet on the forums it is left in a forsaken obscure corner. New people will be coming around, and this "mistake" will be made more times.
