A short burst and planes disintegrate, parts of wings or tail just split away. It never happens to me. I get shots, explosions on airplanes but I need really to insist to shoot them down. They spit out white and then more and more black smoke, flames, but still fly, and I really have to hit very hard until they really go down. So here I wonder if there is a cheat mode or something to have the enemy planes become very fragile and just blow up at the first cannon hit.

You see one or two cannon hits in most videos but there can be more because cannons rate of fire is about 10 shells per second. I use to make 20% with gunnery accuracy and this is very high for air-air. What is yours ?

Tomio i was wondering could you make a video in the single missions. 2 to 4g4 vs 4yak1b. Ai can be at novice. Face on. Lets say 109 500 to 1000m higher and at 2000 to 3000m altitude. I've watched a lot of pilots still learning their gunnery technique and what they seem to do is aim generally for the aircraft infront of them. That usually scores them some hits and sometimes a few lucky ones but not the killing blow you want. More experienced pilots aim to hit specific parts of a plane and they aim to fire a burst that all land in the same general vicinity. That is what scores kills quickly and usually in the first burst.

Showing videos of PE2s & IL2s dying from shorts bursts of gunfire. You then made it worse by suggesting that if people were better pilots they might not have such a problem killing VVS aircraft
