This is yet another "pro" in playing the IL-2 series...

I notice that among all of the flight simulators I use, IL-2 is, for some reason and although it occupies the biggest slice of time I devote to simming ( way more than I should :-/ ) the simulator that put's the least stress on my vision, even if playing it for long periods of time.

To start with, graphics are very crisp / well defined for me. It isn't difficult to read the instruments, but above all visuals outside of the virtual cockpit are also smooth and crisp enough, specially when trying to identify other aircraft in Expert mode ( no icons ... )

Then, the cockpit 3d perspective is probably the best I've been able to find in all of the flight sims I use, and TIR5 really works like a charm in IL2.

So, yet another reason ( at least for me... ) to praise IL-2 Battle of...

I guess it is, judging from what I've been reading around here, and some friends with it tell me about, but I'm too far from getting into it - would require a decent PC update... and that's costy, not to mention the VR headsets...

Maybe in a couple of years :-)

Except in multiplayer where identifying aircraft is near impossible without cruising up alongside them!

you do get used to it. It takes time, but I can now ID friend from foe in VR

Multi-sampling anti-aliasing works in BoX - a huge plus and eyesight saver! This is not a common trait in today's games, unfortunately.

In the beginning I kept shooting down friends, instead of foes :-/ but in IL-2 BoS it's easy to learn the sillouetes and use them to distinguish friend from foe, even in the distance, unlike in other sims.
