Ju 52 - more avaliable seats for player

It would be nice if we could take all possible seats in Ju 52.

Currently there's avaliable only 1 (left pilot) + optionally gunner's seat.

As Ju 52 has more seats - right pilot's one and few in cargo room for paratroops

- could 1CGS devs make this ability to choose those crew positions either?

It would be great improvement for pure entertaining purposes and some cinematics etc...

Cheers.

I believe that every time you add a crew position the cockpit has to be modelled specifically for that viewpoint. You would think that having modelled the cockpit then it would allow you to see from both pilots views but I know that in at least some sims, eg CLoD,  changing to another seat means all sorts of gaps in the fuselage suddenly become visible and the cockpit & fuselage has to be rebuilt.  Maybe BoX is different?  I have not flown the JU52 so I assume that currently there is only a single cockpit view and a  gunner view thatonly looks at the outside of the fuselage.  If BoX has the same issues as CLoD then to model what you want means remaking the cockpit to look OK from either seat and building a cargo bay interior as it is probably very primitive at the moment.  I could be wrong.

Well, you can move your head to postion very close 2nd pilot's head - and cockpit is still high detailed.

In that case they would need to make more detailed model of cargo room with set for paratroops.

Anyways - it would be nice improvement of already existing in-game vehicle.

Modeling the co-pilot’s position as a pure passenger seat, would be easy enough, but having the controls work would be problematic. I don’t remember the exact reason, but the sim’s engine doesn’t allow for dual controls on a plane. That’s also why the bomb sights are bound to the pilot’s position and not the bombardier’s.

A simple fix would be an option to "give controls to co-pilot" as the main pilot. It would be kampfy to fly the Ju-52 with a friend.

If there is a way to make it use dual controls, we could have a nice, slow, easy to fly training aircraft, to teach basic flying and navigation to new pilots online.
