Sokol1 Posted January 5, 2018 Posted January 5, 2018 (edited) From SimHQ. Attention - mission to be started as MP server - even for play solo, can be used as "COOP". AirWarfare mission set Click to Download (3mb) Install: You'll figure it out. (Give me a shout if links/pics doesn't show up, I can't see them from inside my LAN) 'AirWarfare' is an early attempt to recreate what we in OFP/ArmA call "CTI" (later "Warfare") where you get an initial credit to use spawning in units and assets as you please and earning more credits by destroying enemy assets and securing towns. Mind you, these take a few seconds to load when hosting so just wait it out. Not really suitable for large public servers I would assume but intended for SP hosting your own passworded server or small coop teams. How this is done here is listed below in the preview of ingame briefing but this shows part of the TAB-4 menu: The set is currently 3 missions: Battle of France 1940 This is the smaller of the three and is set on summer map. French airforce is represented by these replacements in french liveries: Bloch 152 = Hurricane MkI 5-20 Potez 631 = Bf-110C-2 (spot on look-alike) Dewoitine 520 = Spitfire MkI Bloch 210 = Wellington MkIc Battle of Britain 1940 This one has Chain Home Radar implemented and any Luftwaffe formation getting detected by CH will get hunted by a RAF section. British convoys took me 4 evenings to debug but had to be left out, you can still hit them but AI will ignore them. Italians in Belgium but also at Bologne-Alprech so they might show up a bit more than historically. Battle of Britain 1941 - Winter Direct copy of 1940 above but on winter map. This will have RAF squadrons to do sweep more than CAP (as for Luftwaffe in 1940 version) and using more "Late" versions and Spitfire MkII along with the Beaufighter. Spitfires in 1941 grey/green camo (also in download since not all Mk's have them by Blitz standard) Ingame Briefing: 'AirWarfare' mission series is an attempt to recreate CTI/Warfare from ArmA for IL-2 Blitz. Side reaching 100 score first will win the battle. Once in cockpit use the mission menu (TAB 4) to control assets such as launching a bomber strike on nearby targets or defend a nearby airfield creating CAP flight or AAA battery. Selecting target will show targets sorted from your position and the same goes for selecting Squadron. You will start with 3 credits, enough to launch 3 bomber strikes (one-at-a-time) or one escorted strike and one AAA battery. Each target area can be identified by a Barrage Balloon at 700m Once a strike reach its target area a screen message will tell you. When your strike flight leave the target area you will get a second message and now you're free to launch another mission. Flying a fighter you will get a small flight of 2 to 4 bombers and as a bomber pilot you will see a bigger 6 to 9 bomber formation. Selecting a CAP will give you 3 or 4 fighters (Italians and early RAF fly 3-VIC*). Selecting a Sweep will give you 6 or 4 fighters (Italians and early RAF fly 2x3-VIC*). You will earn 2 new credits from your strike hitting target, also your side will earn 1 score each 1000lb/454kg delivered on target. Landing your plane will give your side 1 score and if damaged you can receive up to 5 extra score (player receives 1 credit too). To keep in mind: Your bomber-formation will airstart, see to get airborne and close to the airbase you plan to call them from if you plan to join/escort them. Bomber escort flight will be removed along with the bombers on RTB. You may only have 1 CAP flight at a time (active until all planes lost). Fighter Sweep goes by bomber rules, once they leave target area you may call a new one. * RAF 74 Sqn flew FingerFour under 'Sailor' Malan Mission Menu Press TAB-4 Select 2.Attack Target (ignore hud message from mission in progress): Select Attack Type such as 1. Bombers Only: Targets sorted from your position (old picture, you will see distance): Select what Squadron to use: Notification your mission is on the way: Edited January 5, 2018 by Sokol1 3

7./SchG2_v*Athlon Posted January 5, 2018 Posted January 5, 2018 Fantastic, that's what Blitz needs. Sokol: is there also Skins Bloch150 for the G50? sry bad Eng.
Sokol1 Posted January 5, 2018 Author Posted January 5, 2018 I install there to give a look and are only custom skins (France) for Hurri, Spit, Wellington. Here the missions run OK, as well the "command/controller" script. BTW - In some air start's Hurricane water radiator spawn closed, one these CloD "peculiarities").
7./SchG2_v*Athlon Posted January 20, 2018 Posted January 20, 2018 Hello, is TheOden from AirWarfare active in this Forum? If the answere is yes, I would like to ask if you could bring controllable ground forces? This would be awesome. And also I wanted to say thank you for the great work you have done already. 1
Sokol1 Posted January 20, 2018 Author Posted January 20, 2018 (edited) You may find TheOden in SimHQ. http://simhq.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/4398383/airwarfare-mission-set#Post4398383 Edited January 20, 2018 by Sokol1
theOden Posted January 20, 2018 Posted January 20, 2018 (edited) I do spend more time on simHQ, very true But to answer the question, yes there are plans for ground units in future updates when I implement "moving frontlines" but only for Battle of France and future Tobruk. Ground units in my previous missions (the singleplayer one, DynMis and the very old "Capture the Region") wasn't the easiest thing I've done though so I can't promise anything but I surely will give it a try. Edit: After extensive tests trying to get AI moving between cities down in France I will have to put ground units on hold due to rivers blocking roads and as such AI movements. Splineroads will not help but I assume the only fix is if TFS "recompile" the maps making "roads block rivers" rather than the other way around like today (or implement bridges, alternatively letting missionmakers add bridges to the mission). Splineroads will not help but I assume the only fix is if TFS "recompile" the maps making "roads block rivers" rather than the other way around like today (or implement bridges, alternatively letting missionmakers add bridges to the mission). I was looking in the mission maker for bridges in the map and static list, but was surprised that they did not exist. There I am asking myself how to create historical France and/or Belgium campaigns and/or missions. @TheOden I have still some questions left: 1: Where do I change the Points for the winning condition in the XXXX.cs? I want to increase the number from 100 to 500 2: For the Potez 631 (Bf110) is the skin missing 3: For the french planes (Hurri AI) is the french skin missing They are there at least for the Bloch 152 and Dewo 520. Till now I just can find the RAF skins. 4: does the AI scale up with the number of Players?
theOden Posted January 24, 2018 Posted January 24, 2018 To edit the victory conditions search for: GameOver = RAF; There you should see both lines you need to edit: if (BombHits[RAF] > 100000) GameOver = RAF; if (BombHits[LW] > 100000) GameOver = LW; Potez skin was actually missing, sorry about that - download the link again and it should be in the PaintSchemes folder of Bf-110C2 French skins for Hurri and Spit should be in the download package already (Wellington too). AI do scale up for up to 5 players unbalance so running this in coop with 2 to 6 or 7 players on same side should be ok.
Sokol1 Posted January 24, 2018 Author Posted January 24, 2018 (edited) I was looking in the mission maker for bridges in the map and static list, but was surprised that they did not exist. There I am asking myself how to create historical France and/or Belgium campaigns and/or missions. And "now the bad news"... Due another "It's CloD!" bridges (for vehicles) don't work in CloD, are a invisible steep or wall around then. Train bridges work OK, but train tracks has interruption in some places. A workaround is despawn AI vehicles before the bridge and spawn after - what involve a C++ script. Edited January 24, 2018 by Sokol1
