Scottvdken Posted January 4, 2018 Posted January 4, 2018 So I got these a little while back and have been using them for a few weeks. I took out the center detent and they improved a little, but I still have a ton of trouble with fine control. They feel very "jumpy", not smooth at all through the range. Is there anything else I can do to these to make them smoother? Did I maybe get a defective set? Is this just the way they are? I think I could still return them, if not maybe put them on Ebay. If I do - what do you guys recommend I get? Preferably under $300 or so but I'll take all advice, they just need to be super smooth. it kills me to have to spend that kind of money on something seemingly so trivial. I would have been fine with a twist stick, but upgraded to a Warthog so I lost that ability. Any advice would be awesome. Thanks!
Archie Posted January 4, 2018 Posted January 4, 2018 Well $300 dollars is MFG Crosswind territory, and they are one of the best on the market.
dburne Posted January 4, 2018 Posted January 4, 2018 Well $300 dollars is MFG Crosswind territory, and they are one of the best on the market. Agreed!
BP_Lizard Posted January 4, 2018 Posted January 4, 2018 Also, Baur BRD F3 kit is around $350 shipped fro Russia. It’s a kit so you have to put them together.
SCG_Fenris_Wolf Posted January 5, 2018 Posted January 5, 2018 I just received Baur's BRD-F3 self assembly kit. The pedals are the Luftwaffe's Einheitspedal! I recommend to get that, 240Eur including shipping and insurance. I took additional pedals for SU35 as well, for a Russian TAW campaign in the future. 50Eur import tax if you're unlucky like me, living in Germany. Crosswinds are fine too, and of composite just as sturdy, but not an all metal construction. BRD-F3 just feel amazing! Until you got your new ones, use white lithium grease on the old Saiteks. Helps a ton.

Sokol1 Posted January 5, 2018 Posted January 5, 2018 The plastic rails in Saitek pedal love cat /dog fur.
Sgt_Joch Posted January 10, 2018 Posted January 10, 2018 you may have a bad set. I bought Saitek Pro Pedals 3-4 years ago and have never had an issue with them. Make sure you adjust the tension switch to your personal preference. I bought these to replace a set of CH pro pedals. I prefer the Saitek because of the wider stance.
