Funny how you do things and promptly forget.

This is kind of an intro as a first post.

I was a long time fan of the original IL-2 series (and many sims before that) but moved to ROF because I had childhood dreams of that genre. I followed the early development and following debacle what was COD but never bought it fearing the worst for that product.

I did buy BOS on steam at release and liked it but the campaign system was (is?) boring as were the icy landscapes so lost interest again.

Anyway, I saw the Christmas discount on COD Blitz and without any research decided to invest UD$18 in it. I’m away on holidays so won’t get to download and play it for a couple of weeks but hoping the fixes work for COD

I just discovered I’d signed up to this forum and that lead me to see I’d bought BOM a year ago abs never even downloaded it lol

Welcome to the forums!

You should definitely give BoS/BoM another try, they have come a long way with it over the past year.

They are also working on a totally new campaign system for it, that will be miles better than the stock one. It is due in the next update, sometime in the next several weeks. There are also some good scripted campaigns available here as well.

In the meantime there is also PWCG, which is a great campaign generator for some good SP action.

If you happen to be interested in Virtual Reality, BoS /BoM / BoK have done a very good job with their VR implementation. If you enjoyed the career mode in RoF, then you should enjoy the changes coming with BoK.

1CGS are revamping the stock campaign, to a similar career mode style to what was in RoF, and although it becomes active with the release of BoK it is also available for BoS and BoM as well.

Thank you @dburne and @=11=herne. The career mode etc upgrades sound promising. Like the ROF work over time, it’s pleasing BOX products will continue to receive development. Time for me to finally download BOM (11 months after purchasing it!)

Looking forward to Career mode. Battle of Moscow is a wonderful addition to the series... I look back on it and am very thankful that they made it.

If you've run the launcher anytime in the last year... You'll have Moscow already loaded in. It's all there.
