Irtis Posted January 3, 2018 Posted January 3, 2018 Hello pilots! I'm new on il-2, but i really love this game. Just a short question, is it possible to reload main gun? On the ground maybe or at the airport, or something like that?
Finkeren Posted January 3, 2018 Posted January 3, 2018 Nope. However, certain weapon configurations on the Bf 110 requires you to reload the main cannon(s) when you use up a clip.

Finkeren Posted January 3, 2018 Posted January 3, 2018 If you want a piece of advise: Don’t focus too hard on your ammo count or even your shooting to begin with. Instead focus on survival. Learning how to stay alive is a lot more important than learning to shoot down lotsa airplanes.
Irtis Posted January 4, 2018 Author Posted January 4, 2018 Yea, For now i try to shoot ia and survive at 1 vs 2.. but the IA is quite gentle I'm scare to play in multiplayer mode for now..! :/

You will find that human opponents are sometimes easier to beat than AI. If you can, fly with someone experienced. With guidance even newbies can score skills on expert difficulty servers.

This definitely... No need to be scared lol, we all bite But there's no better way to get into the mp scene then diving right in. Human opponents have very limited scanning ability compared to the ai. It's very easy to pair up with someone and usually everyone on is willing to help out a new il2 series pilot. Just announce yourself to your team and don't forget "ctrl+Enter" is for team chat, don't leak intelligence.. Or you could even go in as a gunner.. again you should ask as most lock their crew positions(some like to shoot their own plane for fun and the pilot doesn't like this for some reason). This sim is just gonna be getting better, you joined at a good time. Hope to see you on my wing or head on soon enough!

Or i just not enough familiarized with the game! :D Yes it is quite interesting on this point, but from what I learned when I was flying about in real life is sector scanning.. Imagine a grid on your wind screen, and scan through those sections of sky carefully.. also keep your monitor clean as I have become victim of following a spec of dirt on my screen.... Now in our sim you can 'zoom' in which changed your field of view but allows you to focus on distant areas. And you know if it's dirt on your monitor if it doesn't increase in size when you zoom in... Flak is a give away of enemy positon if you are over friendly territory aswell

Welcome to BoX! Buy some monitor cleaning supplies, you're gonna need 'em Might be a good idea to adjust gamma settings, too. There's a whole arcane art/science to adjusting video graphics settings for best spotting success, but overall, other aircraft are just very hard to detect, especially against ground clutter. -SF-Disarray Posted January 5, 2018 Posted January 5, 2018 When it comes to ammo conservation I advise against it at first. The single best way to become proficient at shooting is to shoot lots and lots of bullets at things and observing where they land in relation to where you were aiming. Doing this will help you get comfortable with the rate of fire, the trajectory of your guns, lead time required under various circumstances and so on. Once you know how your guns will handle and you start becoming more accurate you can then start working on cutting down the number of rounds you need to use on average to bring down a target. This can be done against AI but they tend to fly differently from people so you will have to make adjustments if you start to play online. That said the AI is more than serviceable for basic familiarity.

I try MP, but everybody "rape" me! it was on close map with infinite plane, there are plane everywhere, and the time to reconize a russian plane someone shoot me or when I succes to be at 6 of someone they do crazy maneuvers and finaly go behind me! It was funny but stressfull (and i success to kill 1 guy!) Good work! Crazy air combat flying is why mp is fun, and if you're unfamiliar with techniques there are a plethora available on YouTube. .
