Smoothness setting in VR?

Under Camera settings//Smoothness. Does it do anything? (Mine defaults to 50.)

I thought maybe it would do nothing in VR....more of a TrackIR type of tool.

But tested it out and seems like going to 100 makes a positive difference ?? Esp vs. 0

Smoothness: this setting will smooth out the camera as it swings around in the cockpit, which can help with mouse-look or TrackIR usage. Higher smoothing settings will make the camera less responsive and more sluggish

I set to 100% and find it smoother without any loss or sluggishness, feels good.
