15JG52Robi Posted December 29, 2017 Posted December 29, 2017 Hello, I just bought and installed BOS and BOM, but when I try to start either game I get the error message as in the attached screenshot. The installation took quite some time, so I don't want to uninstall it and then reinstall it as the error message suggests since I will waste a lot of time and it probably will not solve the problem. Can anyone in the community or developers help? Thanks in advance!

15JG52Robi Posted December 29, 2017 Author Posted December 29, 2017 Archie, tried your way and all I got was a new error, you can see the screenshot here: https://ibb.co/kp6g2G Thanks for trying.
162nd-YU-Markoni Posted December 29, 2017 Posted December 29, 2017 I remember that i had problems like that few time about other games. Eventually solved the problem. I am shore somebody will help you. You should write to user support. The Il2 user support is very good and very helpful.
15JG52Robi Posted December 31, 2017 Author Posted December 31, 2017 Got it sorted by myself, thanks! EDIT: I see more ppl had the same problem, so hopefully the explanation how I fixed it will help someone in the future, it is quite simple but takes a long time, especially if you do not have SP1 on Win7. So, in order for game to start if you are running on Win7 you must have SP1 installed. Best way is from Windows update but if that does not work( it did not for me) then you have to download the SP1 from Microsoft site (it is relatively easy to find), it is a 950MB file. So, install that first. After that, uninstall the MS Visual C++ 2015. Restart the PC. Next, install the security upgrades, now from Windows update which should work after SP1 is installed manually. One KB file is important for IL2, it is located in the "optional" upgrades so be sure to check all optional KB updates to install as well. After that, reinstall the MS Visual C++ 2015. Restart the PC and start the game. If it still does not work you may have to install the MS Visual Studio installer for newer routines for MS Visual C++ 2015. That's it, happy flying!
