unreasonable Posted December 29, 2017 Posted December 29, 2017 (edited) Found a nice source for contemporary maps of the area that may be useful for Bodenplatte (and even FC) map modeling, especially of built up areas and roads that have all changed a great deal since the war: http://library.mcmaster.ca/maps/ww2/ww2_Fran_Belg_Holl_ndx100k.htm We would not want another M25 around London type issue as in EAW. Uufflakke Posted December 29, 2017 Posted December 29, 2017 That is some neat stuff you came up with! Here is another source for WWII aerial photography of the Netherlands and Belgium. Unfortunately, free images are only in low resolution. https://originals.dotkadata.com/?language=en#!1&jaar%5B%5D=1942&jaar%5B%5D=1945 1
unreasonable Posted December 29, 2017 Author Posted December 29, 2017 Glad to be of some use other than just making movies. I always find that historical games that interest me get me buying books, looking for maps and photos etc. Looking for RAF Regiment OBs for Light AA units as part of my Bodenplatte and game AA effectiveness tests, then found that the modern airfield in Eindhoven is some way away from the WW2 site which is now a housing estate, then looked for contemporary maps, found this set . @Bigit: You have probably discovered it having a look at that site, it also has many more WW2 maps: http://library.mcmaster.ca/maps/ww2/ww2_topos_home

Very cool! I actually knew about this archive... it's from my alma matter. I had forgotten all about it though! Thank you I think the entire collection is online for all to see but if you had any questions about it... I can physically go visit the archive if that proves to be useful.
