What sound system does IL-2 BoX support?

Hey guys,

 

what sound systems does the game support? Does anyone know?

 

Dolby Digital 7.1, or DTS 7.1 maybe?

 

I could only make out Stereo, but maybe I'm wrong with that and made some mistake in my settings..?

Last I recall, Jason said the sound system is Stereo. But I'll be buggered if I can remember where it was said.

I use a 5.1 system. If I select x2 Stereo I get stereo front and back but I can't say I notice sound changing positionally as I turn my head in VR. Not that I think it would add anything advantageous combat-wise (unlike an FPS).

Thanks all. Now I can stop fiddling with DD 5.1 for this sim. ?
