VR immersion while in different crew compartments?

I would say some are great, other's aren't. It depends on the crew position and the plane. I've found two problems: wrong FOV, which is unbearable in VR, and head position resets, i.e. your head position and direction is forcibly reset to some values when you exceed certain ranges.

 

The gunner position in the IL-2 is in the "good" category, positions in the pe-2 are in the "bad" one except for the belly gunner.

wow thank you for the response.I am looking forward to having VR flying single and multi player,didn't realize crew compartments where having issues.Hope they can be resolved.

Some of the big bombers are absolutely amazing. Looking down to the bathtub in the He111 is really immersive, something you cant feel in 2D.

Don't get me wrong, the other stations are useable just in the main not as slick and comfortable as the pilots seat.

 

The scale and immersiveness is astounding in VR.

I have never actually tried a gunner position myself.
