109 gun sight

HI, Could someone tell me how to align the Me 109 gun sight cross hair with my line of sight in the cockpit, at the moment it's off set to the right, i have to lean over to bring the cross hair into the reflector sight.

 

I have a button on my joystick to reset my forward vision for all cockpits, but the 109 refuses to do so.

Hi,

 

on most German aircraft the gun sight is slightly offset to your right - so to aim you need to lean forward and slightly to the right. During normal flight your reflector sight

isn't aligned with your front vision.

 

Assuming you do not have any tracking device like TrackIR or Free track you might want to assign a button that toggles the head position between front sight vision

and aiming vision. But if you want to set your vision always fixed on your reflectors sight, you can adjust your head position with the arrow keys (or is it Shift+arrows?)

until you feel content with the position. Save your adjusted head position with F10. Next time you enter the cockpit your head position will be right there like you want.

You can do this for each and every aircraft.

 

But, if you want it like in real life, you shouldn't align your head with the aiming sight. It's like driving a car - you don't position your head all the way in front of your

back view mirror, unless you're female and you have to check your make-up constantly.

Use the command "Lean to Gunsight"  - default keys is "Shift+F1" (IL-2:'46 heritage).

 

Beware that in CloD use this command restringe FOV to 30 degrees and remove ability to look back - check'6, the "mor' difficult, mor' real" in their best expression.

 

Be press and hold the right and middle (scroll) mouse buttons and moving mouse for left you can adjust the POV for see gunsight centered without the above POV restriction, but unfortunately in CloD you can't save this adjust like is possible in Bo'X or in DCSW, and if use the external view or the key for "Reset view" the gunsight move back for default misaligned position. So this is usable only in MP "full switch" servers.

 

Can do similar adjust with TrackIR.
