Warthog throttle assign RPMs and second engine throttle

Recommended Posts

So I assigned RPMs to the second throttle, and I really like it for flying in VR.

I fly fighters 90% of the time.

Now so when I fly twin engine planes, if I assign this throttle to second engine, it will also do the RPMs, any ideas how to make the best out of this?

Either I use throttle 1  assigned to both engines, and thorttle 2 to both rpms, or what other ideas?

You can assign keys or buttons to select first, second and both engines. That way only the selected engine(s) responds to your inputs.

I like that idea

I tried assign a Joystick key to selec engine 1 , another to select enging 2 and another to both/none engines selected.

Same throttle axis for engine 1 and engine 2

If I select engine 1 alone or engine 2 alone both throttles move , they seem to only work together even I am selecting them individually.

I was expecting select engine 1 , move throttle and only the engine 1 throttle moves, but both move.

What am I doing wrong?

In "99%" of situations you will have no use for throttle of twin engines in throttle 1 and 2, resulting more practical use one for P.Pitch and another for throttle.

For the other  "1%" situations, use the key for select engine 1 or 2 (as explained above).

Pirato is always right.

Always.

Because Ami is right.

I use the two throttle for each engine manifold an use the two 3 way switch of the right  throttle  to increase/derease two axis affected to each RPM of each engine. I use the remaining axis on throttle base for mixture (by default for all engines, because it is linked to altitude which is the sale for both engine).

I also map a button to switch between mono or mutli engine configuration, and button to select engine 1 or 2 or both. Of course all is programmed with target.

But I have a saitek quadrant that I uses for radiators, otherwise I would be lacking of axis...

Exist the possibility -  not assignable in controls, but editing the "Current.actions" files to set a button (or key) for momentary modify an axis behavior.

The axis will only control, e.g. mixture if that button/key is held pressed - without need use "select 1, 2, all" keys.
