FW190 Payload Not Appearing

FW190 payload not appearing .., I set the payload to U17 with 250 KG bomb.  Th hangar correctly shows the U17 mod and the bomb as the payload.  When I fly the mission the payload is not there.  Any ideas?

If my memory serves me correct, you can only use the 500kg bomb and two 50kg bombs with the u17 package.

There are many issues like this since the last patch.

 

Many compatible payloads and skins are not appearing, but this only happens for the player. AI works fine.

In PWCG neither the player, nor the AIs in his flight have bombs, when the U17 modification and the bombs are selected in PWCG. What you can do, is, selecting the bombs in the game itself, but then only you have bombs, not the AI. I don't know, if this is what you meant.

in my SP missions AI loadouts are fine but the player is the only one that doesnt load them by default. You can still select them before the mission but I used to be able to assign a specific loadout that is not assigned anymore.

Ditto for skins for the player - but as far as I know, it's always been like that for skins.

Thanks everyone for your comments.  I've done some research.  Bottom Line Up Front: It seems the FW-190A5 with the U17 modification was never designed to carry a 250kg bomb.

The ETC 501 bomb rack could only carry 4 x 50kg bombs.  So it's a minor glitch in the game that allows you to select a 250kg bomb AND the U17 modification, although a 250kg bomb will never appear loaded on the plane if you also select the U17 modification.

Sorry Swoose, to have to correct you, but the ETC501 was a universal bombrack for droptanks, 250kg and 500kg bombs, but for the 4x50kg bombs you needed an additional special bombrack under the ETC501. You can easily see it when looking at the 190 equipped with 4x50kg bombs.

OK, I stand corrected.

 

But I'm still having the problem in the game where I select the U17 modification + 8 x 50kg bombs in PWCG but when I go to mission start all the AI FW 190-A5s are "clean" with no ordnance loaded.

Yep, U17 modification doesn't work as it should. As a workaround you can either fly with the bombs but without U17, or you select the bombs in the game itself, but your squadmates will then be without bombs.

Thanks for all of the feedback.  I am going to drop the U17 from PWCG for the time being.
