I know it sounds weird, but i bought BOS from the early days, back when it was 32 bits, and it run perfectly on my old computer. When the major upgrade took place and the game became 64 bits only, BOS didn't run anymore. As it makes an update check at every launch, it can't block it, and can't use the game anymore.

So two questions :

- is there a way to block the update process at launch ? To get sort o offline game… This would authorize the 32 bits version i still have to launch, and i could play with a game i once bought…

- could you provide me a 32 bits version of BOS that would be playable without the risk of being stuck by the update process ?

In case of need, i can provide you the proof i bought BOS (and even BOM)…

Thanks for your answer…

I regret to inform you that no 32 bit PC has ever been able to run IL2:BoS. There was a time when it had a 32 bit executable but the minimum hardware requirements have always required a 64 bit CPU and GPU. If you are using a 32 bit operating system for some reason on a 64 bit computer, then simply swap that. Additionally, the game uses DX11 now, which requires no less than Windows 7, which is 64 bit of course.

Edit: The last 32 bit desktop CPU made was the Pentium 4, first released nearly 18 years ago.

NVidia is dropping support for 32-bit Operating Systems.

Part of CloD "disaster" is due their dev's attempt - failed - to make this game compatible with Windows XP.

If you computer is not able to run new games, use IL-2 Sturmovik 1946 that has a very good contend.

The "new" always has a price.

You're right, my apologies : i meant the 32 bits launcher. Back in these times i was able to run the game. If only that damn update check would stop interfering !… That's why this old 32 bits launcher version would be so appreciated - and maybe other players are in the same case…

I think you're it tbh. Given that you must have a 64 bit computer, what operating system are you running on it? I'm pretty sure you can swap it to the 64 bit version either for free or for a very low fee from Microsoft.
