CTD when You select skins 4.5

After few days of testing I noticed that if You try (sometimes) to change a skin (for example from Quick mission, Single Player) the simulator recives Crash To Desktop. Not always but 50/50 I suppose. It didn't happen in IL-2 CoD TF 4.312 patch. This preview window also has 1-2 fps. So maybe this is the case of this CTD? For example I recived also CTD in option/pilot menu (when I wanted to dress him ) so with window with preview of pilot also.

 

Did you notice the same CTD in this part of CoD Blitz?

Change LOG=0 to 1 in your conf.ini in mydocuments folder. Then attach the log and cppcrash files from the time of crash.

I had the very same problem, which can be solved , in my case, by removing the reshade dxgi.dll from the ..\core 

And Yoyo, I believe you are an avid user  of reshade !

I copied to SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\IL-2 Sturmovik Cliffs of Dover Blitz\PaintSchemes\Skins .

Indeed, that seems to solve it for me too... Except I'd like to use reshade! Any way to still use it?

Only way I found is just to get reshade .dll inactive ( moved or renamed) before launching game when I plan to change skin/livery details.

Well I get the same crash if I jst go and select a plane on ATAG. So I can either play with the default planes all the time (Hello 109 E-1!) or not use reshade, I guess. That's too bad!

Ok, so I checked this. You have right, its a dxgi and dxgi.dll problem in parts/core (part of ReShade) but...

how to fly in CoD 4.5 without this?

 

 

For me impossible.

 

I discovered that Iif You TURN OFF effect on logo movie (1C/TF) or on screen with selection of skins (before You touch any settings) - everything is ok and no ANY CTD!

 

 

this is a temporary solution for users of ReShade in 4.5. Next, when You start the fly You must turn it on again.

 

Just remember that You must set before it Toggle On/Off effect key, example (Scroll Lock):

this rule applies only if you will choose skins (if not, no CTD).
