ESCOMM_FlyMaker Posted December 20, 2017 Posted December 20, 2017 Anyone using NewView with CloD?I tried everything but nothing sens to work.I found some tutorials but all for oldest CloDhttps://theairtacticalassaultgroup.com/forum/showthread.php?t=5374
Sokol1 Posted December 20, 2017 Posted December 20, 2017 (edited) Don't work in BLITZ because NewView is 32 bits application. This software is important for overcome the archaic PAN/SNAP view of CloD - was done for overcome the archaic PAN/SNAP view of IL-2:'46' few years (2002/2003) after this game release. Allow too create custom "snap views" like is possible natively in Bo'X and DCSW. NewView is important for users that don't afford or don't get used with headtrack (TrackIR leave-me "sick", so remain in the drawer). Modern games like WT, Bo'S, DCSW don't need this because already have smooth camera pan with POV HAT, but CLoD only has smooth camera pan in mouse - and if the guy are not ambidextrous will have hard time controlling camera with mouse during dogfights with the "wrong hand". As the most affected player base is from Russia, the guys there already contact Hruks - NewView developer, but he say that need help of BLITZ developers and offer for integrate the API in game: https://theairtacticalassaultgroup.com/forum/showthread.php?t=27260&p=295477&viewfull=1#post295477 Edited December 20, 2017 by Sokol1
ESCOMM_FlyMaker Posted December 21, 2017 Author Posted December 21, 2017 Thx for the info Sokol! Now with the main code TF should update CloD with modern features. Smooth camera, Left and Right modifiers (LAlt, RAlt, LCtrl, RCtrl).
Sokol1 Posted December 21, 2017 Posted December 21, 2017 Left and Right modifiers (LAlt, RAlt, LCtrl, RCtrl). Similar to DCSW controls CloD controls allow you use any key or joystick button as modifier for keys/buttons/axes, just press the key/button you want use as modifier before the main key/button.

I know but in CloD Left and Right Alt, Ctrl and Shift are merged.
Sokol1 Posted December 22, 2017 Posted December 22, 2017 Yes, but this differentiation or L and R will add ~3/4 modifier more, what in a game where are possible ~ dozen of modifiers don't make much difference. Anyway is possible map the essentials commands for a plane, e.g. Spitfire without use "Alt, Ctrl, Shift", simplifying the use. Those "default" keymapping that came with games are not done in a more smart way, and in CloD the keymapping came with useless assignments and "bugs" (commands with conflict)
