downquark Posted December 19, 2017 Posted December 19, 2017 Just a question. In the Kuban map at high altitudes near the tree border, shouldn't there be needle trees instead of deciduous trees? 3
Guest deleted@134347 Posted December 19, 2017 Posted December 19, 2017 I think the grass is of a wrong shade as well to tell you the truth. In the summer months its more of a beige ivory variety with the sprinkles of green pine needles.
76IAP-Black Posted December 20, 2017 Posted December 20, 2017 Guys, that is a real nitpicking. You know all, that the Dev's are working on several things and even reworked the old Stalingrad terrain.Let them do their job and enjoy their passion. If there is a brown spot somewhere in the gras or not .... who cares Enjoy the game and if you like to talk more about trees and gras, become a gardener
unreasonable Posted December 20, 2017 Posted December 20, 2017 No one is preventing the devs from doing their job. The OP is just observing a detail in the map which may or may not be inaccurate. I made a similar - although more sweeping - observation about the Stalingrad map when it appeared, namely that the area between the Don and the Volga was in fact Steppe, not cultivated fields. For which I got all sorts of crap on the forum. Thing is, I was right, the developers agreed and eventually changed the map, once they had time and inclination to do so. There is absolutely nothing wrong in making such observations. The devs are big boys and quite capable of making up their own minds about where to devote their attention. (Also I do not enjoy gardening!) 6
CanadaOne Posted December 20, 2017 Posted December 20, 2017 The devs are big boys and quite capable of making up their own minds about where to devote their attention. There are more than a few who mother the devs as if they need protection. I never understood that. I thought the comment about the trees was perfectly reasonable. 3
SCG_Fenris_Wolf Posted December 20, 2017 Posted December 20, 2017 There have been four nuts today in my peanut butter jelly This is going to be a radical day
Uufflakke Posted December 20, 2017 Posted December 20, 2017 Nothing wrong with the OP's question. Has been asked also at the Russian forum some time ago. And proven with images of the area itself. Some wonder also if trees are not out of proportion in relation to houses. And aren't there too much trees in villages. They look more like forests with houses in between. These kind of questions are - for my feeling- an indication the Dev Team are doing a great job. Since we discuss tree issues here no heated topics about FM's, waiting years for a new plane to come, serious loss of fps after updating, canceled projects or delayed patches like other flight sims. 3
Brano Posted December 20, 2017 Posted December 20, 2017 This is how river Пшеха (typical mountain river of Caucasus foothills) and its surroundings looks like in May. https://www.vpoxod.ru/route/caucasus/splav_po_reke_psheha/gallery
Finkeren Posted December 20, 2017 Posted December 20, 2017 I think it’s a perfectly fine observation. If the devs never get around to fixing it, it will not bother me, but pointing it out is absolutely okay. 2

purK Posted December 20, 2017 Posted December 20, 2017 I was one of the first people to point this out when the map was being beta tested, so yeah I too would like to see some more tree variation in the future. After seeing what they did to the Stalingrad map, I have hope they'll get around to it eventually. For now they have bigger & more important projects to worry about.
BP_Lizard Posted December 20, 2017 Posted December 20, 2017 Perfectly fine observation. But I don't mind because by the time I get too close to ever notice what type of trees they are, I'll be crashing right at them.
