I may have misunderstood you but I just wanted to point out that the Spit is available in the Kuban Premium Edition so essentially it's available now.

Don't know if this is allowed or not but, since they are somewhat related to each other I'm going to throw it out there:

IL2-Blitz is out, relatively inexpensive and has a few early versions of the spit ready to fly right now.

You can buy it here on this very site:  https://il2sturmovik.com/store/cliffs-of-dover/

edit - p.s. BoK is well worth it...

I'm guessing first Battle of Bodenplatte plane to be released will be either Spitfire Mk IX or Bf-109G-14 (since they are closely based of the already (nearly) developed Mk V and G-6) probably around March-April

Jason alluded to that in the Q&A as well. Probably the Spitfire IX or Bf109G-14 will be up first (and then second) as they are the easiest to do though I wonder if the Bf109 will come first ...if the Spitfire gets some interesting modifications (like C an E wings, bombs, clipped wings, boost modifications, etc.).

Since they are just finishing the G6 it would be easiest to make the G14 first but that's just a guess from an outsider.

Safe to say it will be the 109 or Spit in any case.

I am a tad sadden that my Allied buddies won't get a worthy RAF fighter - Spitfire XIV would be a better addition than the Spit IX (...even if is is the "E"). I must agree that when you add the Me 262, it's counter part was the B-17G.

your all far better than me when you'r talking about plane, one thing, i have buy IL2-Blitz  and i tough it was part of BOS and no and i don't like it, it look old. lost 20 box

Spike, just an advice; don't rush into buying things!

Do some research before buying, like watching gameplay vids and such.

Maybe you can refund Clod if you don't like it and save some money for il2:BoK (best BoX title so far in my opinion, have spit).

Also keep an eye on the forum, there is a giveaway threads from time to time!

You can refund threw steam which is quicker than writing to the 1C service.

If you want to get into BoX now without waiting for BoBP to be released I'd advise to wait for the most likely iminent winter sale to get either BoS or BoM cheap. Than you could get the Spit seperately and save some money if you don't like to preorder BoK (which is still very recomended since it has awesome airplanes and a nice map).

Spike,

I'm sorry to hear that "Blitz" wasn't to your liking.  I did recommend it in good faith and thought that, for €15.80 it was an extremely reasonable buy.

Maybe, if you give a few tries, you might still find it to your liking.

I don't buy it on steam??

IL-2 CloD Blitz Edition is a Steam game. It does not work without it. I have no expirience with the Steam customer service myself but think that any Steam game can be refunded at full price if you send them your issue within a certain timeframe (sth like first 3 hours of playing).

Edit: Speaking of winter sale, there you go.

Blitz was from the beginning available on the IL-2 Sturmovik homepage. The link is in Jason's announcement.

I bought it on Steam, played for about one minute, and then asked for a refund.

Compared to BOX, it's simply weak tea.

You should be able to buy content either on steam or on the website and find that it will work with your steam client. ( assuming you have linked your steam account ? )

Battle of Moscow has the 109 E7, and 109 F2, Battle of Stalingrad has the 109 F4, battle of Kuban has the 109 G2, G4, and G6 as a collector plane. Battle of Bodenplatte, has the 109 G14 and K4.

So you have plenty of 109's there to keep you going, plus all of the other content that comes with these titles as well.

I'm sorry to tell you this, but BoBP won't be available on Steam for Christmas.  Also not in January etc. Not until the part is completely "finished". Nevertheless, as already described above, you have the possibility to get BoBP from the Il-2 Store and link it afterwards.

If it helps my BOS was bought from steam, and I think maybe the 190 A3. Everything else was bought from the website, and it all works from the steam client. BoBP has some really lovely birds available that you could fly right now, the rest will be arriving over the coming months.

Will do, getting it from IL2. Thank you both for your encouragement.
