Danziger Posted December 19, 2017 Posted December 19, 2017 Is there no way to change resolution? I keep changing it to 1920x1080 through in game option menu but when it restarts it's still some huge 3800something slideshow.
Team Fusion Buzzsaw Posted December 19, 2017 Team Fusion Posted December 19, 2017 Changing resolution is a simple selection in the Options. You do need to restart the game for it to take effect. Are you sure you have the game installed correctly?
Danziger Posted December 19, 2017 Author Posted December 19, 2017 Steam installed it so I'm not sure.
Team Fusion Buzzsaw Posted December 19, 2017 Team Fusion Posted December 19, 2017 Did you try verifying it?
Lemon Posted December 20, 2017 Posted December 20, 2017 hi, also you can verify this, your conf.ini file , -right click on it propreties tab , be sure the box (read only) is not selected -inside the file , there is 2 lines for your resolutions, you may try to edit them direcly : mines look like this : width=2560 and height=1440 ps: i got 2 conf.ini files dont know why exacly the one with the resolution setting is in : C:\Users\yourcomputername\Documents\1C SoftClub\il-2 sturmovik cliffs of dover not this one to edit C:\Games\Steam\steamapps\common\IL-2 Sturmovik Cliffs of Dover Blitz good luck
Sokol1 Posted December 20, 2017 Posted December 20, 2017 (edited) ps: i got 2 conf.ini files dont know why exacly the one with the resolution setting is in : C:\Users\yourcomputername\Documents\1C SoftClub\il-2 sturmovik cliffs of dover not this one to edit C:\Games\Steam\steamapps\common\IL-2 Sturmovik Cliffs of Dover Blitz Users should edit .INI files only in Documents\1C Soft..., the game engine priorize the .INI there. The .INI files in SteamApps\common\Il-2... is the "defaults" and so should leave as is. If one "mess" the files in Documents\1C, just need delete/rename the affected .INI there and re-start the game, a copy of the "defaults" inside the game folder is made for Documents\1C... So became obvious that this will not help if files are "messed" in both folders. Edited December 20, 2017 by Sokol1 1
Lemon Posted December 20, 2017 Posted December 20, 2017 that explain why my AA setting were never applied when i tried to set it from the wrong folder, thanks a lot Sokol1
Danziger Posted December 20, 2017 Author Posted December 20, 2017 I think it may be a windows issue. I had to reset my computer resolution to 1920x1080 and then it worked. Otherwise the game would force whatever my computer resolution is set at no matter what I chose in the game menu.
