SCG_motoadve Posted December 19, 2017 Posted December 19, 2017 I press 5 and nothing happens, I am starting the flght on the right side of the cockpit , not behind the gunsight, and a bit backwards.
DaGengster Posted December 19, 2017 Posted December 19, 2017 (edited) The key mapping is in Settings > Key Mapping > Pilot head control tab > Default VR view. Edited December 19, 2017 by DaGengster
SCG_motoadve Posted December 19, 2017 Author Posted December 19, 2017 Thanks , that worked, now is there a way to adjust the seat in VR ? a bit forward or higher etc?
DaGengster Posted December 19, 2017 Posted December 19, 2017 (edited) Thanks , that worked, now is there a way to adjust the seat in VR ? a bit forward or higher etc? i usually just physically move to offset and then recenter. Ex, if I want to move closer forward, I move further back than where I normally sit, and press reset. Then when I sit normally again, im further forward in game. Its pretty jank I know but works Edited December 19, 2017 by DaGengster
SAG Posted December 19, 2017 Posted December 19, 2017 You caan but not in VR mode. so go into monitor mode and use the numpad keys to move press f10 to save it go back to VR mode and then itll default to what you set in monitor mode

marklar Posted December 20, 2017 Posted December 20, 2017 Once set it stays there throughout my gaming session in BoS. Why don't you set it permanently like 19//SAG said in one post above yours?
dburne Posted December 20, 2017 Posted December 20, 2017 Why don't you set it permanently like 19//SAG said in one post above yours? Well I suppose I could, but really it is just a quick press of a button on my stick so not really a big deal to me.
Schmehl Posted January 2, 2018 Posted January 2, 2018 I have a bunch of common functions mapped to my joystick (Thrustmaster T-Filght), but the numberpad 5 center button will not work on the joystick. I also tried mapping it to a key I could reach like 0 , but it still won't work. Everything else I remapped works fine. Does anyone else have this problem, or an idea of what is wrong?

Can you not map it to re-center vr view instead?
Schmehl Posted January 2, 2018 Posted January 2, 2018 Sorry, I guess I'm using the wrong terminology. I set the re-center vr view (numberpad-5 by default) to a button on my joystick, but it doesn't work. I tried mapping it to different buttons, also tried mapping it to ctrl-and a button, but none work. Everything else I mapped to the stick works fine (landing gear, flaps, rpm adjust, navigation lights, bomb drop, etc..) I can't think of why this one button would be different.

I am not talking about numpad 5, but the re-center view assignment in the BOS controller setup menu. I believe it is under Pilot Head Control tab, listed as " Default VR View". I mapped that, along with VR Zoom, to buttons on my stick/throttle.
dburne Posted January 3, 2018 Posted January 3, 2018 Thanks much, that solved the problem. You are most welcome, have fun!
Schmehl Posted May 11, 2018 Posted May 11, 2018 (edited) When in VR I am very close to the instruments in the Bf 109 E-7, but very far back in the Bf 109 G-2 when I hit the re-center view. I turned off VR and reset my view and hit F10 to save it. When going back to VR it is still as it was originally. I have adjusted the VR view like some of you guys mentioned above and that works okay. Sometimes in the heat of battle after turning a lot the center is a bit off and pressing re-center centers me on the gun sight, but far back again. Does anyone have an idea how to correct this? Edited May 11, 2018 by Schmehl Forgot to add the actual question at the end.

You may want to launch the game in non-VR mode again and check if your settings have been correctly saved. I dont have this issue. I did set up all planes I'm flying in non-VR mode and all works fine in VR after that. Also make sure you are using the pilot head movement and not the zoom when setting up the view. As a side note, for german planes it's much better to set your default view on the center of the plane and not on the gunsight. Makes it much more useable and less distracting.
Schmehl Posted May 23, 2018 Posted May 23, 2018 Thanks Black_Sab. Apparently I was using zoom and that solved it. Thanks for the assistance.
