Boaty-McBoatface Posted December 17, 2017 Posted December 17, 2017 (edited) No bandwidth to download for now so was hoping some kind folk could please help answer a couple of quick questions: 1.Is the bug gone where the plane would swivel around into the wind whilst on the ground stopped? 2. Is that 'superstuka' fixed that was miles faster and more powerful than it should have been? 3. Does hurricane wing break off like a twig still? 4. Do the allied planes still have that ridiculous shuddering after starting engine and trying to power up? 5. AI gunner behavior still completely unbelievable (sniper at times, yet can't hit you from 10m on the 6)? 6. Does the water cooler somehow 'blow' instantly and leak from overheating for just a split second? Thanks and looking forward to trying it. Regards McBoat Edited December 17, 2017 by boaty_McBoatface

Sokol1 Posted December 17, 2017 Posted December 17, 2017 1 - No. 0.02$ - Essentially the game is the same CLoD that you don't like, so not waste your bandwidth. 1

Sounds like a real disappointment given folks have been waiting almost half a decade for this. Back to the Eastern Front then! Edited December 17, 2017 by boaty_McBoatface

Regards McBoat 1 Yes 2) Yes 3) Cant say ive noticed this one but probably 4) Different and you'll think worse - there is a reason - not a game breaker 5) Improved on both AI flights and when your gunner is AI 6) Dials do not provide instant readings - if you're heating up quickly to the max you can expect the engine to have exceed it before the dial gets there. Engine temps have all been worked on. @ Lokos - is every day a rainy day with you? -cmon its a damn sight better than it was even if you don't like the fire effects! @ Sshadow - don't pronounce the patient dead until you've seen him
xvii-Dietrich Posted December 17, 2017 Posted December 17, 2017 1.Is the bug gone where the plane would swivel around into the wind whilst on the ground stopped? 1 Yes Sorry, but the "swivel bug" is definitely still there. I did a lot of testing last night, and encountered the swivel bug on several occasions. If your aircraft is parked too close to an object (e.g. revetment) you can easily weathervane around and clip it. If mission builders are aware of it, it is easy to work around. Spawn points just need to be set away from obstructions and other spawn points. Alternatively, you need to take your own action, get the chocks in immediately, then get your engine started and be ready to go when you call "chocks away". It is actually not so bad. 1
Sokol1 Posted December 17, 2017 Posted December 17, 2017 (edited) @ Lokos - is every day a rainy day with you? -cmon its a damn sight better than it was even if you don't like the fire effects! No, but I don't use "pink glasses". Blitz is new game? No, overall is better but still the same old CloD with the same dozen bad done "small" things that bother some people - e.g. the "hurricane" wind force on ground (OP -1). This (1) ground behavior was not fixed, just "sweep under rug" with the "chocks" workaround (in previous patch). It may not matter for your MP gameplay, but perhaps matter for someone SP gameplay. So, if the guy don't like CloD because this "small things", nor the game fit for their play style - want just press 'I" and slam the throttle, why try convince then on contrary? Give them the truth... will be one less complaining about bugs. Edited December 17, 2017 by Sokol1 2
BOO Posted December 17, 2017 Posted December 17, 2017 If we listened to you there would be no-one to complain! Points taken though S
Art-J Posted December 19, 2017 Posted December 19, 2017 I believe the "swiveling" bug has at least been reduced somewhat in SP. I still use my old, even pre 4.13 mission with Spitfire sitting in the revetment, ready for cold start. Before I always had to use the chocks to keep the damned thing stopped during startup. Now I don't, because: a) I forgot how this f#$%^ command for "chocks" is called in the controls menu anyway* ; b) in 4.5 the plane stands still. Same with my other, old cold start mission for Hurricane, standing on open, slightly windy field. I admit the bug is still there in cross-country mission with Blenheim, though, so I don't know what it depends on in 4.5 (maybe the wind treshold for the bug is higher now?). * - Just found the answer in the other thread.
BM357_TinMan Posted December 19, 2017 Posted December 19, 2017 The ground swiveling bug is still there and it is still annoying
Art-J Posted December 19, 2017 Posted December 19, 2017 Oh it's still there allright, I admit that, but the effect is weaker, so it's less annoying. For example, Blenheim in cross-country mission turns right only a little and it stops, while Beaufighter in the same mission doesn't turn at all. I hope the TF guys will find the way to remove the bug eventually, but for now, this improvement is better than nothing. I also have an impression that low-oil temp "roughness" in Merlin engines is less annoying now as well. We don't have to wait for almost 40 degrees to taxi, 20-few will do. However, I haven't flown Clod since Spring, so I might remember that wrong. Gotta re-learn many things again.
YoYo Posted December 20, 2017 Posted December 20, 2017 (edited) No.1 - Im sure - NO, yesterday I started from the ground and Emil started to turn self like before.... Edited December 20, 2017 by YoYo
