Some great screenshots here. Do you need to keep the original ClOD in your Steam library as well as Blitz? Reason I ask is when I take a screenshot with just the Blitz version enabled I can't find anywhere where the screenies are saved.

No, you don't need keep original CloD installed to have screenshots.

 

Screenshots depends on key used for take:

 

- PrintScreen (default key assignment) = screenshot are save in the black side of the Moon.  :biggrin:

 

- Any other key/joy button mapped (ScrLk key is not recognized by CloD, just in case) = screenshot are s save in 

 

\Documents\1C SoftClub\il-2 sturmovik cliffs of dover\screenshots

 

- If  use STEAM default screnshot key - F12 = screenshot are saved in 

 

\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\XXXXXXXX\YYY\remote\ZZZZZZ\screenshots

 

XXX, YYY, ZZZ varies accord user, games...

 

The easy way to find is look in STEAM interface > View > Screenshots 

 

Case want copy/edit any, in STEAM screenshot viewer click in "SHOW IN DISK" to open the above XXX/YYY/ZZZ location - after can make a shortcut for this place.

The AI got a massive improvement in Blitz. Now, in singleplayer, you'd better keep checking behind you.

The AI gunners got the change. The AI in general are being worked on and will be getting beta tested shortly. We hope to have this before 5.0.

I thought that was the case... I knew about the change in gunner AI, but that was all at this point in the new development cycle... I think Cybermat must have placebo fever  :biggrin:

I took lots of screenshots today, but I can't find them from my computer. :( Where do they go?

Depends:

 

Case 1 - If you are using 'F12' key (STEAM default screenshot key) - look in Steam interface > View > Screenshots.

 

There if you click in "SHOW IN DISK" open the storage  folder. But open this folder manually - inside STEAM folders, became complicate due the path:

 

...\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\22405538\760\remote\754530\screenshots

 

* The above numbers may change for different users. Anyway can make a shortcut for this folder.

 

Case 2 - If you are using 'PrintScreen' key (CloD default screenshot key) - pictures are "saved" in an hole in the black side of the Moon - will be a little difficult retrieve... :lol:

 

Case 3 - If you set another key in CloD GUI for screenshot , e.g. F11 - not used for any other command, pictures are saved in:

 

..Documents\1C SoftClub\il-2 sturmovik cliffs of dover\screenshots

What the hell didn't know an engine can just fall out of it's casing like that in CloD! Not sure if it's realistic or not but it looks funny as hell, love it.

Is a bit exaggerated in CloD, you can remove the engine from a fighter, after all is a game.

 

But IRL (in WW2) this sometimes happens with planes hit by FLAK, including caught in camera:
