screamingdemon Posted December 14, 2017 Posted December 14, 2017 Gents I have one picture taken from screen short of the movie "Dunkirk" and one picture taken in cockpit of real spit. In both pics the nose of plane can be seen when sight is centre reflector. In the game when sight is centred then nose not visible. Frankly i like the view where nose is slightly visible. What are your thoughts on this.
Mitthrawnuruodo Posted December 14, 2017 Posted December 14, 2017 I think this is mostly caused by the camera and its position close to the sight. A similar appearance can be obtained in Il-2 by moving your head forward.
II/JG17_HerrMurf Posted December 14, 2017 Posted December 14, 2017 A lot of the Dunkirk footage was done from a non-Spit mockup as well.................
BM357_TinMan Posted December 14, 2017 Posted December 14, 2017 It has been my perception that the default camera view in the vertical plane is always too low. I feel like a kid trying to peek over the steering wheel. One of the features of this sim that I really appreciate is the ability to easily move the default "eye point" of each individual plane.I think what you are describing can easily be fixed by raising your pilots eye point. 1

Gambit21 Posted December 15, 2017 Posted December 15, 2017 Yeah watching Dunkirk and inferring anything about the real Spit is ill-advised to say the least. 1
