Spitfire Cockpit anyone?

Hello all. 

I hope that this post is acceptable as I am selling an item that may be of considerable interest to some of your forum members. I have put it here as I figured that it would get the most exposure but if it should be relocated to a more appropriate section please let me know.
It is a replica of a Supermarine Spitfire cockpit, manufactured in GRP and full-size with completely accurate external dimensions. The basic interior is generic with representations of some correct former frames - suitable to equip and detail as you see fit. 
The unit was originally fabricated as the home for a flight simulator for our aviation museum but we have several new airframes coming and have run out of indoor space. 
I have listed the unit for sale on a well known internet auction site where there are a selection of photos and more information - it can be found by searching for "Replica Spitfire Cockpit" on the UK auction site. I am happy to answer any questions regarding the unit, including discussion of methods for collection/delivery and possibly negotiation on price. 
There is scope for series production of these units if the interest is great enough - drop me a line if interested.

Pit-builders do not touch VR with a grip, another form of immersion , some say better other say not. I am cocpit type myself. If I get VR it will only be half time use.

I respect you home cockpiters but I’m a million miles away in opinion. It doesn’t matter, it’s whatever each individual prefers and there is no right or wrong solution.

But for me it’s:

 

VR- you are IN the game, flying and fighting completely immersed

 

Monitor- looking at the flying and fighting happpening on a screen

 

Home cockpit- Sitting in a home cockpit, looking at the flying and fighting happening on a screen

 

*Edit* Cool cockpit BTW, forgot to mention that. I wonder if it would be odd if I had that in my office at work and put my work desk in it..

Pop over the "famous auction site" and there are a lot more photos, including some of the inside. The main instrument panel is present, but the blind flying panel has been left out as the aperture is the exact right size for a flat screen version of those instruments. The seat has a single-lever height adjustable mounting.

The feeling of climbing into the cockpit and installing yourself in the seat really is convincing - you can always put your VR kit on once you're in place!
