SP campaign and formation flight

I used to fly a lot of SP in the old il2 but now prefer multiplayer. I was thinking I’d give the new SP campaign a go when it’s released and I was wondering if we will have the ability to fly in different parts of the formation (wing, 3rd, ...)?

 

I loved that part of the old il2 and Falcon4 where you weren’t always flight lead. IIRC in the original il2, your position in the flight was determined by your rank?

I imagine the career will have some similar aspects to how it was in Rise of Flight. Your position in the formation was dependent on your position in the flight, I expect that this will carry over to BoX

I sure hope so. We all have our own preferences and the developers have the impossible task of having to cater to as many people as possible. I just hope it's a priority for them as it greatly helps immersion for me. Flying lead with a few other aircraft "glued" to your wing always feels like your flying alone. Looking forward to it.
